I will be there around 3 this Friday, I need to insulate the upper halves of the front door still, and if anyone has ideas on flappers, bring them then!

Larry,

The fact that you have a picture like that to post makes me worry.

Is that what you do when you're not racing?

Actually I was thinking of a stock BRP and a 4wd open (except brushless and li-po's) And I don't want to know where you got that picture.

So Larry, is that what the office parties are like at the airline? I guess the motto should be fly the fruity skies!

Default Xray M18 setup....

There seemed to be alot of questions as to my setup / equipment for my M18 this weekend so I'll post all the available info here.
(part #)

Xray M18 (38 000)
Xray micro servo saver (38 2500)
Xray 2.5 toe in linkage (38 3220)
Xray 42T spur gear (38 5742)
Xray pinion set 13,14,15,16 (38 5701)
Xray pinion set 17,19,21,23 (38 5700)

Futaba S3101 micro precision servo
LRP Quantum Sport ESC
Trinity Mini Monster Pro 17T / Venom Fireball
Team Hammer big block motor mount
Team Hammer graphite chassis
Intellict 1200 battery pack with deans
Elligi 50 shore front foam tires
Elligi 35 shore rear foam tires
Protoform Mazda 6 body
****HPI micro light kit**** (HID's and tail lights)

chassis -- You'll need all the Xray stuff listed above. You really only need pinions 15, 16, 17 (for the motors above at Roxane) if you want to use another manufacturer.
Stock chassis will work with a 6 cell shotgun layout battery pack with minor trimming modifications. You can not get 6 cells side by side. The Team Hammer chassis is a nice but not neccessary hop up. My car performed just as well on the stock chassis. However a big block motor mount is a must for any motor other than a 180. XRAY, ATOMIC, and JWERKS all make big block motor mounts.

servo -- I highly recommend the Futaba servo. The Hitec HS-81 doesn't seem to hold up to well. I went thru 3 before getting the Futaba.
These two servos will work with no modifications.

ESC -- I would get either the Novak SPY or Micro GT. There smaller and cheaper than my LRP. The SPY will work fine with a 300 size motor.
This is the esc that Ryan is using and seems to work fine with his Peak Raider motor.

motors -- The motors listed above are very fast motors and work great. However, the Fireball has to be drilled to mount on a big block motor plate.
Venom Fireball for some reason had to be different. The upside is that the motor goes for about $14 and is crazy fast.

battery -- With the stock chassis and most aftermarket chassis a 6 cell shotgun style battery pack will work. The only chassis that will accept a 6 cell side by side is the Team Motek chassis. www.teamhelotes.com and www.cheapbatterypacks.com both make really nice GP1100 and IB1200 packs for the M18. I like the CBP's better. You can custom make a pack on his site. This allow you to choose the batt/layout/wire size/connector type plus he'll priority mail you the packs! I got two custom packs shipped for $36!!!!! Enough said

tires -- Elligi's can be ordered from www.rcmart.com / ebay or you can get the USA equivilant by Team ORION you'll need hard fronts and soft rears.
Team ORION doesn't use the shore system. If you use any other compounds traction rolling will be at you own risk!

body -- the kit only comes with the Ferrari 360 Modena. I used this body when I first got the car and it works fine. Looks cool too!!

HID,s (high intensity discharge lights) this is a MUST have item. HPI MICRO lights ($10) adds the cool factor that makes racing these little speed demons so much fun. Do not show up with out your lights on! You will be docked laps and hacking any car with out lights will be accepted and highly encouraged!!!!!

If you give Ken bigger fenders he just hacks you harder!

Micro taxi sounds like fun, maybe I'll build one before I come down.

Yo to everyone in the STL!
