Default Guts & Glory RC Raceway - Bloomfield CT

Jim, from the old Manchester Hobbies and then Fast & Furious RC Raceway, has just opened a new track in Bloomfield. It's located at 96 Granby Street, Bloomfield, CT. It in the back of the building and upstairs. (Door is just inside the fence in the back).

It's a small track with a focus on minis. There will be 2 to 4 classes run on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons. The classes will be as follows:

1. spec class using Redcat Racing 1/16th scale tremors...box stock, with 2s lipos. Jim is stocking plenty of spare parts if the need is there.
The remainder will be based on turn out.
2-3. Open mini. this will consist of anything from 1/14th scale to 1/18th scale open class with limits to 2S lipos. If there's enough turn out, this class will be separated into 1 class for 1/14th and 1/16th scale open and one class for 1/18th scale run separately.
The fourth possible class will be a juniors class for kids. If enough kids come out to run, they'll be put together into their own class.

Jim is running the robitronics lap counter system so transponders are much cheaper. And, as has always been the case with Jim, the focus is on fun and camaraderie.

The track is a small 50x24 carpet track with small jumps, designed for minis.

There has also been talks about opening up Thursday and or Sunday for a spec VTA (vintage trans am) race, using 27 turn brushed motors and 25.5 brushless motors and 2S lipo. It won't be 100% based on VTA rules but close. This is only if there's a demand for this class though.

Jim is running a race this Sunday Dec. 7th. Sounds like there's gonna be a good turnout. Check Guts 'n Glory's facebook page for more details.
