Default Headed to San Diego for work and thinking of bringing a car

Ok so I will be headed to San Diego in late March for work and was thinking of bringing my B5 and hitting one of the local tracks. Anything good near either the airport (SAN) or the University City area? I haven't made hotel arrangements yet but it looks like I will have most of Saturday the 22nd to spend at a track.

Ok answered my own question...SDRC is less than 3 miles from where I will be for work.

So how are the Friday night races at SDRC?

SDRC is a great place to run, friday night seem to have very good turnouts. I have only been down there a couple times but the track is great. Largest indoor track in CA.

I am there every other Friday to race with my brother. We are there from 2:30 to 6:30. We do not join the racing, but just run the track for fun.

It fills up pretty quick. The regulars fill in about 5:00 or so. Lots of people, lots of fun.

Buzz.

Well the trip is booked, now I just have to figure out transporting my B5 and enough gear to race for an evening. Am I an idiot for thinking of buying a cheap AC/DC charger for this trip so that I don't have to transport my 308 and power supply? Just trying to get compact.

Well I'm in the air currently and my RC gear supposedly is with me (let's assume it made the plane switch) so unless there is some major issue I will be at SDRC tomorrow. Woo hoo.
