Default Onroad tracks in NC?

Any large/nitro onroad tracks in North Carolina? Raleigh/Durham preferrably?

I checked myself. www.carolinasrc.com shows you're good...if you want offroad. I did not see an on road track near Raleigh, though. Bummer.

Yes, they have a TON of Offroad tracks, but no On-Road on that site anywhere. I am so bummed about that. Just last weekend I started going to an onroad track in Georgia and I will be up in NC pretty soon.

There is an Onroad track in Durham. It is RC Speedway and is getting ready to undergo a management change. RC Speedway is the website. We will soon have the site updated with new race schedule and times. If you have any questions email me at [email protected] .

There is also a track just outside Goldsboro that races on Saturdays called Rosewood

its a little bit of a drive but a nice track. There are also a couple of other onroad tracks within driving distance of Durham but I dont have their sites handy.

Two paved oval tracks in Wilson. One is at the Antique Barn on Forest Hills Rd and the other is Thunder Alley on Hwy 42. Thunder Alley is the highest banked oval I've seen anywhere.
Wilson is an hr east of Raleigh, right off the 95 interstate.

(Tarheelquality....like the name )

It is cool, thought not quite as long as in some of those pics anymore due to the dirt track being added. still about a 150ft front straight, use to be 190+. Come on out when you get here.

No there isn't yet.
Right now, the Rosewood track is the best place in the State to run Touring, either electric or Nitro. They race every Saturday. If you plan on coming to run Nitro let us know here or PM me. A few of the Nitro guys can only come every other week, so the rest of us either run somewhere else or run electric that week.

The Durham track is sort of in a transition mode but should be operating regulary by mid-summer. As of right now, the tentative schedule for Durham is every other Sunday. Once all of this is worked out either tarheelquality or myself will post here and we will most likely be creating a Forum on this site as well.
