Default Steamboat Springs Community RC Track!!!!!!

Come check out Steamboat's new RC track. The track is in its beginning stages as we were given the go ahead by the City of Steamboat Springs on August 8th. It is a nice sized track, 85'X65'.

Currently there is no pipe for lane dividers, but that will come in the future with more interest and users. we have piled up rows of dirt to mark out the lanes. Lane widths range from 9'-12'.

This a track that is intended for people to go out and have a good time. That is why it is free to use and easily accessible to anyone and everyone.

The address of the track is 1834 Lagoon Court, Steamboat Springs CO 80487. For those familiar with the area this is next to the concrete skatepark and the newly built bike park behind the justice center.

Any RC car is welcome besides 1/5 scale due to size. I do have some pictures, more has been done since they were taken.

Thanks and hope to see you out there!!!!!

That's awesome you were able to get the city to go along with the idea. Lake Havasu has an excellent track inside a city park right next to the Lake...Love it !

Yes! The City gave me the go ahead. The rest of the summer is more of a trial to see who is all interested. Hopefully next summer we can get the go ahead to make more improvements.

Thanks for the support!!!

Have you had much interest? It would be great to get enough people to pitch in a buy a timing system.. I know of three including myself to add to that list..

Cedar,

Not much so far. It will be there this spring. I think our priority should be piping/lane markers before we go to a timing system. We will see how things go this spring.
