That's fine for those who live on the mainland.... With the cost of gas and tolls just to get off this stupid island it doesn't make sense to go....

You can say that Pro-Speed has been my home track for Outdoor racing. I hope they are able to get things going early this year.

If your looking for clean place to run, there's a good group of guys that get together on Sundays at the Deep Park train station once the weather breaks. They have a nice lay out and they run all day. If you want something more competetive you have to go to N.J. or N.E. Until a rich benefactor comes out of the wood works, we're S.O.L.(S@*% out of Luck)

I live in NYC, and I just traded my Nitro car because there was no tracks nearby in NYC (as fun as just messing around a parking lot is, I wanted to race it from time to time). To race Nitro in NYC area you have to travel to either Middletown, some parts of Ct., or Edison NJ. Any of those options meant spending at least an hour in a car going up to one of these places (on a good day), and at LEAST 2 1/2-3 hours coming back. Not a real great way to spend a Sunday, but that's me. I know pleanty of people who do this every weekend of every spring and summer and they enjoy it, but it's just not me

I got rid of my car, and now am getting a 1/12 car. Easier and closer to find tracks and just easier and cheaper to run/maintain

DPA is exit 51, 52 is Commack Rd... And although they both can get you there... If you were coming from the west and heading east, you'd get off at 51....

Otherwise there is no real sponsored nitro on road racing on LI... There's some friendly parking lot action though....

Larry, I think you have a posting disease... hahahaha....
