In Va. Beach, Debbie's R/C World has parking lot races every sunday. They do have a lap counting system and lap timing system. Also, Hobbytown USA has carpet races and parking lot races. They both use cowbells on corners, as well as fire hose to make the track.

It works great. Turns out that Chapel Hill is using the same system, so they have a place we can get more transponders for it. We hope to come up there some time this season as well. I know we are going to Linville on the 20th. I hope there are enough to make a class for the Impacts.

Did I hear Impact????? We'd like to get a class going at HT in Frederick,Md. I enough guys show to run them we'll be glad to. You'd only need 3 to run. The track layout right now is PERFECT for 235mm cars. Heck, it's big enough for 1/8 scale too. We run every Saturday so if you'd like to check it out one weekend, just bring the cars and we'll run um.

see ya at the races...

Well, that's about 5 hours from me. We are coming to the Maryland State race this summer, but other than that I'm not sure. If you get a chance come down to Linville. Their website is www.linvillehobbies.com. There are about 15 or 16 Impacts that run there, but a lot of them are running at a big offroad race that weekend.

I don't know. Not may of us run TC's any more. Most of us switched to 235mm cars. There are a few TC's around still, but I'm not sure for how long. Linville is supposed to run a class for the 235mm cars, but they haven't had any yet.

Thanks. That's interesting about the switch from 200mm to 235mm. We were just the opposite. Several people here had 235mm cars, but the surge of 200mm was just too much. We got to the point where we barely had enough 235mm to run the class, and then eventually we didn't. 1/8 scale is still pretty hot down here though.
