Could it still be around this year but just didn't post info with that hobby shop?
Not sure.. It wasn't really a good track for a buggy, but more of a better track fort short course (little rocky for a buggy) so I kinda stopped going awhile back. I don't have the guys info either. I can try to give you directions if you live in the area, but I don't really know Groton so it wont be that clear...

Any idea who you talked to at Lee's?. The main RC would probably know (don't know his name.) I need to stop by there this weekend so I can ask for ya.

Went to Lee's yesterday... The track is officially no more. The guy who works there stopped by to check it out after not hearing from him, and said it was like full grass/lawn where the track used to be..

Thanks for checking and letting us know. Lets hope that the "Feeler for eastern CT" thread guy that is thinking of building one in SE CT is still looking to move forward with the combo track/shop. We could use one around here.

Just thought I would revive this old question and see if anyone knows about any track in this part of CT. (Any chance someone is thinking of building one in spring 2015?...)

A new mini indoor carpet track just opened up in Bloomfield CT (~an hour away from Waterford). The name of the place is Guts 'n Glory, the owner Jim runs mini classes now but I think he's open to run other classes if enough people show interests.

Edit [07/29/2015]: Guts 'n Glory looked like it's no more when I went to check around early June, 2015. No more mini racing in CT

I heard a rumor that the 'Fields of Fire' paintball and zip-lining park in Mystic Ct is building an RC track. Anyone have any info?

I live in Hamden, CT and I've never seen anyone with a RC car in the area until last night. Was it someone here on this forum who ran a Brushless Rustler (I think) at the back of the Firestone in Hamden last night? If you live in the area let's go bashing together!

stelio: here's their email [email protected], maybe send them a quick note asking if they are building a track?

Cirasa, I sent them an email Monday but no reply :-(
(I'll be in Mystic in a couple of weeks so am crossing my fingers that they are just too busy finishing the track!)

I finally got in touch with the folks at Fields of Fire in Mystic CT and there's not going to be a track. They said they were thinking about it at one point, but nothing is going to happen this year.

And on an equally disappointing note, the track at Hover RC in Foxboro MA about 1.5 hours north is still there, but only for bashing... No organized races.

Plenty of racing available in CT, are you guys looking for tracks to run at?

RobsRacin, I'm aware of most of the CT tracks, I browse their threads here all the time. I just never took the initiative to drive up to any of them. And also all my RC cars are bashers so I'm not sure about racing them. But recently I picked up an 2WD Arrma Fury so I may pick up some racing tires and go check out some tracks in the future.

RobsRacin, I was hoping one would open up near Grotton/ New London. The existing tracks are about 1.5 hours drive. Do you know of any others??

Oh yeah you are on the far end, I only know if tracks down in Waterbury( 90 minutes like you said) and up I 91 near mass which is probably even farther for you. I end up driving and hour to go race which sucks but I'm just glad I can run

Looking in to building an rc track in or around the Groton/Waterford CT area. Before I start anything I need to know somethings.

1. Looking to do indoor carpet outdoor dirt?

2. What scale and style do you want to run? 10th, 8th, or both?

3. Is there enough of a market in that area for a track?

4. Will there be a following big enough for club racing during the week and trophy races during the weekend months?

5. Also is there an interest in flying? maybe even quadcoppter racing.

Will be checking stuff out in the coming months to hopefully be ready to have something for the 2016 summer/winter time. I know there is a lack of rc tracks in this part of CT. that is why I'm looking into building one there
