Default Veterans R/C Raceway, Austin, TX

I would like to announce the opening of a new offroad track in Austin,TX. We had our first race yesterday and everyone there had a blast.

Track info: Medium bite surface designed for 1/8th but 1/10th friendly as well. Track size 120'x80'. Restrooms and concessions are on site. No electricity yet but its in the future plans. Grand opening will be after the start of the new year. We have a 40'x4' pitlane which is being used as a drivers stand at the moment but in two weeks we will drop a connex box (shipping container) for the drivers stand and RD booth. RV hookups are on site as well. Pictures to follow.

Track address:

500 VFW RD.
Austin, Tx. 78753

Classes:
2WD Spec SC
2WD MOD Bucket Class
4x4 SC

Track looks good. I may have to stop by on my way to or coming from the drilling rig in south Texas. It looks like the drivers stand needs the sides cut down and made into a pit lane and a taller drivers stand built behind it.

Is the track open for practice. Coming home for the T-Day holiday and would like to bring my 1/8 scale and run some laps. Please let me know, would be happy to pay for the track time.

Anyone have any intel? How about some love for a UT alum who dragged his RC stuff 15hrs just in case?

Was planning on running down at rchq this week for practice for pshyco nitro blast in the spring, but this track is 7min from my brothers house.

Any info would be much appreciated.

That is pit lane...
This is a non-profit track, we will have a connex for drivers stand and rd booth shortly. For now it works and gets everyone on the track.

Sorry about that Luvtorun, have family in town for the holidays so time on the pc is limited. We will be open like Larry said this Saturday the 26th as well as Sunday the 27th. 12pm-5pm. Leon will be running things on Saturday and he will be the one to find. Just walk on up and ask anyone for him and they will point you to him. I wont be there as my family flys out that day and I have to go to the airport.

Also there isnt power out there yet so you will have to charge off of your vehicle if you need to charge batteries.
