Mini RC Racing, Reading PA!

Been racing the Kyosho Mini-Zs since 2002 and yes... we are still running with them here in Reading. A few changes though... our club and track has moved to my current residence and the basement is set up to pit 12 drivers (a big advantage for smaller scales... in-home races!). We're still running on an RCP track system and we still have a Core lap counting system as well.

We race one Sunday a month, 10am-6pm... classes depend on attendance. (usually Stock, Mod and F1)

I will be posting our dates here as well as on our thread at MZR. If you're in the area and want to see what is the only on-road RC racing anywhere for miles... PM me and I can send you directions! I have loaner cars so don't worry about showing up with nothing but real driving skills!

Here is our current layout... it's about a 25' backstretch:

Once again... don't worry about gear, I've got around 7 well-tuned loaners ready to go each Sunday.

Our next race date is August the 7th, 10am-6pm. PM me for directions if you're interested!

Attached the layout image...

No charge to race... can't get better than FREE RACING!

We always have stuff for sale too... best deals anywhere!

Someone in Berks County or the Reading PA area has to be into on-road racing... right?

Bump...

Still on for Sunday, 6 racers so far... plenty of room for more.

PM or email for more info.

Thanks Al!

Yeah, still looking for racers... seems like theres just no interest in on-road around my area, unless it's all left turns.

Ended up with 5 racers yesterday but we're all about the same skill level so the actual racing was excellent... lot's of lead changes, the Core graph looked like an EKG chart after the one race.

Going to try to make it up your way sometime in the fall... if my parenting/work schedule allows.

I'll be posting our next race date soon.

Some pics from our raceday... nice having a fully operational track with lap counter in your house! (which won't close down... ever! ;))

Were always looking for drivers! If your in the area and love on-road... were here for you!

Race dates for Sept. still to be determined, I'll post as soon as we figure it out.

imxlr8ed 08-11-2011 07:58 AM

Also... it's not as crowded as it looks in there. We have 6 other pit spaces available and can easily add more! I've had 10 racers at a event a while back and there was still room for more.

September Race Dates:

We're going to run the 9th (Friday) in the evening, 5pm until 10:30pm.

Also, we are planning for the 25th of September, usual times for that day of 10am to 6pm.

As usual, PM or email me if you need directions!

imxlr8ed 09-13-2011 07:19 AM

Still on for the 25th... if you're local and looking for a real deal on a MiniZ, I'm going to be selling some of my herd that Sunday. All of my cars have tons of aftermarket parts and run great... I just have too many!

I still have some fully hooked up and very well tuned cars for sale and Larry will have his usual super-discount swap meet throughout the day as well.

If you're in the area and a big fan of onroad racing... this is the only game in town!
