We are building a very nice free to race RC car race track, and rock crawling pit in Bagram, Afghanistan.
You can look it up on Facebook as RESCUE-RACING CSAR. We are USAF Combat Search and Rescue MX and RQS units. We have been working on it for about 2 and a half weeks. We procurred 12 dump truck loads of dirt from a local contractor. We have the basic track layout, but we are needing some stakes to expand. Materials are hard to come by, most of which are donated.
Our racing stand currently is built for 12 drivers side by side, although we had 16 of our Korean Army Aviation brothers driving on it the other day. We are expanding it 40% to have ample room for 20 drivers. We have 10 buggies, truggies, monster trucks, and SCT's on my shift. The Korean's are fielding 9 trucks, and the Army has about 5 that we know of. There are also a few others scattered here, and there. Once we procure paint, I will paint the track's wood, and make a sign. The sign will include the point of contact email for track announcements, and race times.
Currently our plan is twice a week at 12:30. We are thinking Tuesday/Friday, but Tuesday/Saturday or Sunday might be what actually goes down. 12:30 is the solid time though.
HRFORSALE@hotmail.com is the point of contact email.
We have put in ALOT of off-duty time to build this track, and we will continue to up keep it, and appreciate all help and supplies we can get.
Most of all we hope you appreciate this as a good time away from your normal duties whenever you can get to it.
