Just two tracks. They will sync the schedules with each other from what I heard and even Lost Creek.

Yea,it will be nice that this area has 2 competitive tracks, and they are gonna be run by NON-CRIMINAL persons, unlike Altoona. We lost one track, gain 2.I can deal with that!!!! Hope to see ya more Matt this year.I think you will really like our layout and jumps at the track we are running on now.The thread has been started and its the TLB RACEWAY thread on the track locator forum. We will be installing the pipe for the barrier and building our drivers stand in the week to come but the track is built and has been rolled by a roller machine. The surface is a perfect dirt and clay mixture!!!! It is 1/10-1/8 scale friendly. The track for this thread is yet to come and will be just as nice with full facilitys.

Default Update

We will be uprooting the three utility poles and placing aside for now. Then getting all the topsoil removed from track area for later use. Also french drains will be installed to divert spring water to holding area. Over flow will be routed to lower pond.

Thank You,
S.V.R.P.C.

The old farts incharge of the place pulled the plug. They voted a yes on it but once we laid out a cost to build a drivers stand and get a track laid out they backed off. We came up with them kicking in 2,500. They wanted to know what return they would get. I think they expected to put 200 into it and make 2,000 the first weekend. We even had two sponsors matching the 2,500. So we had a total of 7,500 to bet track under way.

This stinks. Where have you guys been racing at all summer long? I live in DuBois, and there is absolutely no where nearby to race.

I thought about ripping up the backyard, but its just too small for 1/10.
Anyone have any backyard tracks?

So, if this one fell through, are there any in the Blair County Area that are completed?

I think all of the Blair county tracks have closed. I have considered making a track in Bedford county but it is too far of a drive from port Matilda and I don't have the time or money to invest in it. I hope a new track opens in Blair or centre county because 60 miles is just too far of a drive. Maybe if enough local people together we could find someone willing to rent land out for a decent price.

Come on out to LCRC. It's not every weekend, so the longer drive will only be once or twice a month. We already have some people coming on a regular basis from Altoona. The more the better. They also have practice on just about every Tuesday night from 5 unitl 10. I drive an hour and half to also to the track, so I know about the distance. I also have another track within two miles of my house. The cost of a track is not that easy. To give anyone an idea, the cost to setup the track at Motorama is in the vicinity of $25k. So, I can tell you from helping out at two tracks, it's not cheap, and you are not going to get rich from it either. Without the help of at least 10 local guys, you cannot do all of the work on your own either to maintain it.
