Is there a chance of a 2wd OEM SC class this weekend?

I just picked up a used XXX-SCT for my son and I'm trying to figure out how I want to set it up for him. Honestly he isn't that great a driver (just learning) so something slow would no doubt be best....but of course I want him to have a good time too.

There should be. I know both Weyants run OEM trucks as well as Shawn's daughter.

So a XXX-SCT with a Losi LM-32k would be in that class correct? I think it best if he and I weren't in the same class so that I can help him if need be...and I guess race his truck if he quits after one heat.

Edit - Hmm...It was suggested that I pull the AE brushless gear from his T4.1 RTR and put it in the XXX-SCT. I'm guessing that wouldn't qualify as OEM? Can I get a ruling on that?

Yes, the Losi LM-32k would be in that class. Those are the OEM XXX-SCT electronics.

Yea but the AE SC10 RTR comes with a brushless setup like the one out of the T4.1. Any chance that will fly? I'm not looking for speed...just reliability.

Honestly I'm going to under gear him and turn down his top end on the RX anyway so that he has a shot to make it around the track. Back yard running this evening wasn't too promising.

Yeah, we can throw him in the OEM class. It's only a club race and the goal is fun after all.

Shawn,

I took the liberty of adding your track on a new forum called RCTen. Their description says "Welcome to RCTen! Launched on June 1st 2012, RCTen is a new forum dedicated to Team Associated, Reedy and LRP products." It's at rcten.com in the Pennsylvania portion of their track locator forum. I hope this is OK. I also posted several other PA tracks of which I'm aware.

any and all promotion are welcomed.

I know i am the one that " pays and Collects "for the track but this thing is almost a clubs track.

there is no offical club but i have to mention the people that make this happen

Eric Herwing
Tyler Herwing
Jim and Tim Johnson
Bruce Nuss.

And everyone else that comes out and pays every week.

i try to cover the expenses of the track only! Hence the lower priced entries fee. Some tracks charge 15-25.00 to race.

We have

monthly rent, flexible
water, cheap about 1,000 gallons a week is what we use
electric, cheap
fuel, well is any fuel cheap! LOL
dirt, we need some and there is cost to get it
equipment, rental reduced but still costs
Portapotty, 100.00 a month! so enjoy it....
Labor, Priceless
insurance!!!! welll nuff said there!

to pay for all in all it is still running in the negative but i committed to paying the difference and also helping pay for hopefully a lighting solution.....in the future which hasn't happened as of yet.

So just to be clear no matter the amount of entries, we will start at 5:00 and only run two rounds of qualifier with a main. Last time i tried to give others 3 without a break and it didn't work out.

Again i am trying to continue to improve the facility one week at a time.....

thanks for all the support!
