Ok so I want to put together a car/truck and eventually come down and race. What classes are being run and what are the rules? I assume from the results on the other thread that there is a 2wd SCT class that runs 17.5T motors so I am probably aiming for that class...what are the rules?

The typical classes that run are:

2WD Stock/17.5 (Not sure on rules exactly for this class)
2WD Mod
4x4 SCT
1/8 Buggy
1/8 Truggy
1/8 E-Buggy
Sportsman

The 2wd class was combined into one on the results posted in the racing thread, but normally it would be separate.

What generally gets run in the Sportsman class? I'm just getting back into this and am pretty thin in terms of options. Currently have a T4.1 and a XXX-T CR but am looking to get a SC truck as that seems to be the popular class. Basically I'm in the process of buying the SC truck and want to make sure my purchase winds me up in a class that is supported by a track or two within somewhat reasonable driving distance.

Sun & clouds happening + pretty windy
Practice I believe will start around 2pm (look for Tyler & Kerry around stand)
Track is in GREAT shape!! only wet spot @ off ramp of nitro stand.

Track is around 5 miles from Somerset exit
1st light go straight (past Highland Harley)
2nd light make a left Route 281 North
Just below Airport entrance make a left into field just above a red fire hydrant Arrive at RT281 Raceway.

Remember fellows: $5 practice fee & be patient with Tyler, 1st time running loop & track operation. I can't make it to help out, but next Sat. looks good.

Just heard Somerset didn't get as much rain as surrounding areas. Track will be perfect I bet. I'm gonna head up around 3.
