i completely understand what you guys are saying but the total of two time i have been there, he had everything i asked for which included ultraplugs, paint, and some tools. So i have nothing against it. its just over half the distance to critters, and about a half mile from wawa.

It will be 100% dirt. We might carpet the jumps when we aren't racing to cut down on wear.

my only other question is class wise. if i buy a SC truck, what kind of motors should i be looking to run? i dont want to get set up with something that wont run well. like box stock would work.

I don't mind tech toys either, as long as no one else is in there. Otherwise, start looking around at things, it's gonna be awhile. My only small complaint is when I first started going there, I knew exactly what I needed, but he felt that he had to grill me on what I was doing with it. Pretty uncool, but after the 3rd or 4th time in, he figured out that I know what I am doing, and now just grabs what I ask for. Crispys is great too, much more racer oriented which is a huge plus. But if i just need a little traxxas part or something like that, tech toys is only 15mins, crispys is around 30-40mins. I also like to spread the love, gotta try and keep them both open, support your LHS!

....Waiting patiently till Monday

I run the traxxas vxl system in my 4x4 sc truck, and it's actually too fast for the barn. I only get to use around half throttle at most. I imagine it would work great in 2wd as well, its around 150, but at the same time the Castle Sidewinder SCT system is only 109, I have that in my Crt.5 for bashing, plenty of power/speed. But also, most tracks run a stock class, so if you wanted to just keep the stock power system for now, I'm sure others are in the same boat.
