As far as a servo goes, I really wouldn't go below 150oz - I run a XP 1015 servo in all of my cars and it's a great value for 1/8 applications due to it's good torque and great speed.

One thing you definitely don't want to skimp on with a 1/8 vehicle is your electronics - the only 3 systems that I would put into a 1/8 car would be a Tekin, Castle or the new LRP system - the cheap Hobbywing stuff just won't cut it in a true racing application. You'll also want at least 5000mah 40c batteries - I prefer to run a pair of 2s Lipos rather than one 4s since I can always take those packs and run them in my 1/10 stuff as well if need be. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at the track!

Thanks alot Matt!!! You really helped me out. Are you running e-buggy this summer at mcculloughs? I heard of alot of people going from nitro to electric for this summer, I think nitro is gonna be a thin crowd very soon.

I should have an E-Scale together by the end of April if everything goes right. It looks like E-Truggy is going to take off this summer finally as well. I'd love to run the class at PT, but the track is simply just too tight for vehicles of that size to race side by side safely.

Speaking of safety - just a reminder to all racers to please make sure you have gear covers on your vehicles. We had a marshall get his fingers knicked a few weeks ago, and now that everyone has had a few weeks warning the track officials will soon be cracking down on it for the safety of everyone involved.

Exclamation New track layout coming soon

FYI Everyone: This Friday will be the last night for this off-road course. After the ovals on Sunday or early next week, they're doing a new layout.

Nice track at motorama. Those E scales are tempting!

Tony I ordered a brushless for my Losi mini sprint you showed me. Maybe I'll actually race it now!

FYI you will have to do some minor modification to the motor plate to get the new motor to fit.
