Would you mind me asking what your reserve is set at? My son is wanting an SC10 and I would love to buy from someone semi local. Maybe we could meet at the track, and you wouldn't have to ship.

here is a pic of the new Jconcepts Chevy 1500

IMO I think they missed the mark on this one

I like it personally - I'm so sick of all the slammed-down, rounded off bodies with 800 fins sticking off the back of it - this actually looks like a real truck somewhat. But I've always been a fan of boxy-looking bodies to begin with.

I think thats what it is that boxy look that I personally dont like but I am not a fan of the slammed bodies either ( bulldog or punishers )

When I say slammed, I mean the bodies that don't have much definition between the hood and roof, like the JC Raptor, the PL Desert Rat bodies, etc. They look like they took a piece of lexan and melted it over the chassis and it just takes away from the scale aspect of the class.

The new Jconcepts Chevy doesn't look bad at all. I wanted to get one of the Pro-Line Chevy 1500s but I heard too many issues with them cracking and falling apart. I had considered the Jconcepts '79 Ranger, but it's a little too top heavy.

Like Matt said, most other bodies are just too low profile and/or lack scale realism. It seems like the new Jconcepts body is a nice balance between scale features and body height.

With the jc and proline bodies I see alot of guys getting stuck on there roofs. If you flip with a stock sc10 body you will keep rolling till you back on the tires but with some of the aftermarket bodies you see alot of people stuck on there roof waiting for a turn marshal. I had this experience with my first sc10 when I switched to a jc body, I kept getting stuck on the roof so I went back to the stock body and the problem was solved.

I like the Raptor from JConcepts. The headlights I thought was making it scale looking plus it does not have the huge ProLine wings

I remember that problem you had. JConcepts has their Hi Flow body with a bubbled curved roof to help with that problem

Default Sunday Oval Race Time

Is this Sunday's race time still starting at 2:00 PM? The Steeler game is at 4:30 and I was planning on racing Sunday and wanted to verify the times for Sunday.
Thanks,
Gary
