follow the link on the front page of the web site

Looks like we will have enough to run nitro 1/8 scale at the classic.

Track was awesome last night. Man was it fast. I thought Sunday we laid down some fast times but Tuesdays practice was even faster. Now that long wait for the Christmas Classic.

I see that a stock 2wd buggy class is not offered for the Xmas classic. I just picked up a 2wd buggy and wanted to ease my way into this. I guess I'm either going to be a moving chicane or go for broke on my first time out

Do you guys run any stock (17.5BL) 2wd buggy during normal club races?

No. Most guys run 13.5 or 10.5 in mod buggy. We have had a few run a 17.5 and still do ok.

put a 10.5 in it and go. just come up on practice day, get on the right tires and learn. most tracks in northeast still dont go by that 'big bloated disorganizing body' and their rules for stock offroad. most do the right thing since most of us wanna go fast and keep car counts up-we run mod. well 10.5 is really mod at most all indoor tracks. so when bigger races occur, they split em off into mod and 10.5. so the lesser skill guys have a place to race but when its back to club racing-we all run together. makes great sense.

so it is kinda sad that crcrc and motorama have now put 17.5 on the bill for stock. in ohio boosted so it'll be a joke in terms of being 'stock' and at motorama its no-boost so i'd be surprised if 10 guys show up to run 17.5 0 timing since.....WELL NOBODY RUNS THEIR CARS THAT WAY NOR WILL THEY GO BUY A 17.5 AND PERHAPS A SPEEDO TO RACE 1-2RACES. Rubbish. But then again they loused up onroad the same way...only fitting they make the same dumb mistakes on dirt.

anybody notice how dirt oval has it right by not marrying itself and its racers across the country to a organizing body thats lost its direction-rife with discontent.

off the box

I guess it's time for me to pick up a 13.5 or 10.5. Bumps is a good 2hr drive for me. I'm going to see when I can make it up there fo a practice session.

Thanks for the info guys.

Honestly they shouldn't even run stock in any of the classes. Run mod since its only a tick faster. Instead of having a ton of classes and splitting everyone up. Run Mod truck, SCT, 4wd and 2wd and spec SCT. That is plenty of classes to pic from. Now we have so many classes it just waters down everything.

I know that in onroad EP TC there is a big difference between running stock 17.5 and mod 10.5 and below. I'm just getting the hang of running 17.5 spec (no timing/turbo/cheat/etc) at the 'C'. If I strapped a 10.5 motor on my TC I wouldn't finish a single race. Or I would be so scared to break something that I wouldn't be able to drive the car as I normally would.

I hope the 10.5 in offroad is manageable. I've never run a 2wd offroad buggy before so this is all new to me.
