That sucks. Too bad you didn't have as much fun as you could have. Yeah sometimes I know its mod but you still need to know your limits.

slicks suck. If went back I would retire and start racing dirt oval again. Although the X-6 is a great car to run slicks with. They excel with slicks and that kind of traction.

the simplicity of the slicks was what made it attractive.. It is also what doomed it.. as the creative found ways to make it faster.. it got stupid expensive and time consuming..

for me winter racing was at first just sorta something to do.. and the slicks made it easier. just cut some old tires and run.. easy already got some half balds from summer,, lets go have some fun!!

For me now.. winter is bland as nitro 1/10 is practically non existent, and I cant get into the electric stuff as much. (if at all) Top that with a silvia (240sx/RB swap.) build Id like to be driving by summer, and it doesnt leave much time or cash for racing.. (gen 1 slicks would have helped a bit here) I will always run a bit though..

another issue and its a whole new chapter is that.. I like the buggy's the best but dont feel Im on a level to compete with some of the locals there.. and may never be especially in 2whl electric.. I would consider running 2whl buggy if there was and intermediate.. and a pro to seperate those serious to those that just want to have fun.. just some food for thought and I hope I dont get flamed to hard!!

honestly with CC foams, slicks might just be viable again. i didnt mind the grind n go.

perhaps after conversations he had at motorama, haas might want a 'slick' track.

I like that idea. A stock class with no boost? Maybe it would help 2wheel buggy grow around here. Open wheel definately teaches you not to rub and will make a better driver out of everyone that would run it.

I kinda like the idea of a stock class just in case I buy a 2wd so I can get up to speed before we go outside

5100's won't fit without dremeling the chassis brace. I need 4500's.
