dont change plug josh. run the same plug year round if possible. only in crazy high humidity (not temp) would u consider a possible plug change to help tune (more importantly help idle and off idle). granted if your already up in a higher range b/c of humidity, then goin down to a more normal 'cold' 1/8 plug would be advised.

i don't change plugs. i'm actually leaner on top then you would think, because it's a small track.

I think the 3 minute warm up was so the nitro guys wouldn't have to start their cars up early when other classes are racing. The theory was after the last race the 1/8th then would be able to start up and have enough time to warm up.

The race director probably thought since everyone was warming up 5 minutes early that as soon as everyone was started he would send them off.

That makes sense. But I wasnt the only one running the 8E race right before the 8 nitro race. So we had no warm up at all. Its all good and I'm sure it will worked out.

Killer food at Bumps! I have had a blast racing there. Hearing the non nitro thing was a bummer. Glad it's back. I couldn't have raced last sun anyway since i'm having hand surgery tomorrow and my right thumb doesn't work, wasn't thinking. I'll get there soon.

Don't want to say anyone is wrong. We have not had much nitro racing lately so because of that we need to fine toon things a little. I don't think I will be here on Sunday but after that I will help the race director in trying a few different things to make the nitro race better for everyone.

If you need any help with anything, just come up stairs, you will see a group of 5-10 2wd buggy guys all pitting together, and any one of us would be glad to help you.

Thanks! I'll definitely come up. I'm going to get the electronics installed thus week. I bought the buggy used and need to make sure I have the correct gearing.

I also bought a set of bk bars and taper pins off here. But they have the old white foams. Should I wait to mount them and get the better foams?

I would get the better foams, otherwise you'll be cutting the tires off the rim to replace the foam LONG before the tire even starts to wear. The stock foams just brake into dust after a few runs. The best foam out there (IMO) is the proline clossed cell foams, but you can only order them from proline directly right now there not lettin the hobby shops carry them yet. With the clossed cell you will get 3-4 tires out of 1 foam. I recently wore a pair of BK Bars down flat, cut tire off and the closed cell looked brand new yet! Trinity bomb 1 foam is good too,and bumps caries them, but you won't get half the life of a
closed cell tho

I broke the starting gate last year - ran into it with the mountaineer.
I like the idea of rolling starts - no pit person needed.
What if we went to only 8 cars in the mains?
Can 8 of you roll the track without wrecking into each other?
We do rolling starts in oval and they wreck into each other - and they only have 2 corners.
