I was racing bumps two weeks back and was wondering about the rules in sc pro. I have a 17.5 motor and a speedo. Is this class open or are there some rules I need to follow? I ran a box stock truck and when I make the trip back I want to come correct.

Pro is 17.5 brushless with any speedo or 27 turn brushed motor and speedo or any of the brushed RTR setups. Any SCT tires that use SCT rims. THe class is pretty much open like the ROAR SCT rules but we run the 17.5 brushless.

Normally on the big race only racers running the Saturday race are allowed on the track. You will want to check with Chris just to make sure.

Thanks for the help. I mostly run outdoor nitro but had a blast at your track. It looked like a barcode track or the hpi version of a bar code.

One thing im noticing every week is more and more "new" faces, whether there seasoned racers or beginners and might not be sure on how things roll at bumps and jumps. Such as parents letting there kids run all over the track unattended, its great the kids out there marshalling, but most are out there just playing and that becomes a risk to them, our cars and a liablility to Chris. Theres not as much room out there as an outdoor track for the kids to be playing. The only time I saw that being a problem was durring practice, which was crazy enough w/ 15+ cars out there. Just my opinion, Chris and all you guys do a GREAT job on race days, keep up the good work!!!

-Ken-
I know for the big race will have a drivers meeting for sure. The next regular race if Chris don't care (which I'm sure he won't) I will run a quick meeting to go over a few things that have come up this year.

Yes kids shouldn't be running loose as they could get hurt. Its ok to have them their, race and walk around like everyone else but running around could get someone hurt or knock someones race stuff off theier pit space.

I will try to touch on this stuff. I know guys hate drivers meetings but might be time to brush up on a few things.

All spectators are allowed to watch the racers from the windows down stairs or go upstairs to watch the races. No spectators or kids that are not signed up to race should be in the track area. Its a safety issue. ALot of the staff have kids but it is very easy for even racers who know what they are doing to get hit and jurt from cars flying around so we try to keep this from happening.

As for the announcer..........Logan does a great job and I know he is a kid but racers need to know what he says goes. If guys have problems they need to see me (in the tech area most of the time) or Chris. We will then do what needs to be done if anything is needed. Logan calles the races for his I think 2nd or 3rd year and is a seasoned racer..dirt oval but a very skilled racer so don't think because he is a kid that he don't have a clue because your sorley mistaken. He is better than most adult announcers running races I go to. If everyone would just line up like they should, race their race, car on the tech table, then MARSHALL everything would be fine but a few always push the issue some because he is a kid. Racers need to do their things and Logan the race director will do what else is needed to make things smooth.

Brian

Awesome. Glad you had fun. All those tires you mentioned work plus the Proline Suburbs and AKA Wishbones. Any of the smaller profile tires seem to work. WIth the right setup I think Bowties, GOosebumps and a few of the other medium profile treads patterns also will work. Oh forgot that the Panther Switched would also work.

Wow, please don't make me read to much this time of year.
It's ok - I think the USOW will not be the largest race in the country this year - I think motorama will be, oh except they have acres of parking with paint lines already down and 100 people working.
I think we can let most of this topic Die.
I discussed everything with the party's involved, everything seems ok to me.
It's always a tight rope walk I do trying to keep everyone happy, but I do agree we have seen some new faces over the last few weeks and maybe drivers meetings to go over the basics is a good idea.

WYD is correct 17.5 is pretty much mod with a 17.5 motor limit.

To Change the subject any predictions for the classic?
I predict most of the LI boys will be too tired after wheeling next weekend to come down.
I predict it will be some of the closest racing ever, and Corriea and Gay might not get the W's.
I predict Hollinger will not break a chassis, and that there will be no BMW's stuck in the detention pond like last year!

I was getting tired so thanks for the help.

Chris odds are pretty good Hollinger will break a chassis. Figure 3 chassis in I think 3 or 4 racers. Thats at leat 75% chance he will break one. Hell even my Academy GV2 buggy only broke one chassis in the year or more that I had it. Also the track was way more brutal on cars than now as the track is a piece of cake compared to two years ago. It truely is just Bumps and Jumps this year............not Bumps and Bruises except for KH.

I think Associated is making a KH edition chassis that is already broken in two pieces when you buy it. Its made just to velcro it back together so you can snap it again.
