Just a couple of questions, now that I got my first 2wd buggy. It's a b4.

1. What's is a good set-up for a newbie? i.e. Shocks, ride height and diff oil?

2. I have several servo's to choose from to install, which one would be the best? Hitec 7955, 5955 or a 5625?

3. The buggy I bought is used and came with brown springs on the front and green on the rear. Are those good for bumps or do I need to get different sets?

If there is anything I'm missing, please feel free to chime in.

Thanks!
Tom

Spring wise your fine. That is what everyone pretty much runs on the B4 and B4.1. Steering wise most like a fast servo so which ever one of those is the fastest I would use. I think the 7955 is the best of the ones you listed. Someone will post a good starting setup for you.

Thanks wyd, for 1/10 buggy do you need a servo that has a faster speed or torque?

Normally you would want a servo that is at least .12 for speed at 6v and at least 100oz of torque. I normally try for a servo that is .10 or faster at 6v but .12 would be more than good enough.

I know a few guys are using that new Spectrum servo that Chris has for 79 bucks and is .08 and over 150oz of torque. Very killer servo for the price if you need something better down the road. I think that Hitec 7955 is a pretty killer servo if I remember correctly.

Setup wise any of the setups that are for a hard high traction clay track would put you close to what you need. The guys at the track can help you as well.

Chris, talking to some people, looks like it shouldn't be a problem having 10 or more nitro buggies for the classic. I'll try to get a a head count.

As long as I can get off work for the race (I should be able to) I will run nitro.
