I agree. Any SC tire should be allowed in a Pro class.

wow, i never knew there was so much drama in r/c racing! everyone needs to remember, this is chris's track/chris's rules... if you wanna play you play by his house rules!

if you're going to race at bump's, bring your stuff and have fun! if you want competition go to bump's, if you want to win every week against the same 4 racer's go somewhere else! it's r/c guys! charge battery, stick in car/truck and pull trigger!
my $.02

The only question I have in this class is this
Do I allow any tire? or any RTR tire?
(the jconcepts tire is not a RTR tire, it comes in a Team Kit)

Yes we are running electric 1/8 scale.
any SCT tire !!

How's this Chris? These are the rules we are pretty much agreeing on between pitstop and my place for sct.

Novice - any vehicle class, you will move up when you are within a certain percentage of the particular class of vehicle you are running.

Stock SCT - RTR chassis and tires only (no team kits or conversions),cross branding of tires and electronics allowed, cross branding of wheels not allowed, brushed or brushless RTR's,17.5 allowed(blinky mode only), all chassis hard parts and suspension must remain stock other than shock oil(if the shocks leak or the caps pop off oh well, don't wreck), gear diff only.

Mod SCT - any tire, motor(540), esc, conversions allowed (crc, exotek)

4X4 SCT - 2S,540 or 550 cans, no 1/8th scale conversions

I like the 3 class proposal. Any SCT tires for pro class.

That made it so I can take my brushless rtr out the box install some real rubber and hit the track. Perfect. Thats exactly what I wanted to do.

I feel like its time for some wrenching

I thought they sold a x-factory sct kit? Or you could just by the conversion if you already had a T4.

Mike we have already seen that the stock and 17.5 are basically the same speed so now you have two class that are the same speed - novice and stock. It is hard to allow a novice class if only 2 show up.
I honestly don't see many people running mod, especially since the majority of racers already own a 17.5. Couple this with the fact that you can compete in the 17.5 class with a stock slash and I think you have the perfect scenario.

Sonny let me ask you this - would you have come back to racing under these rules?
I doubt it. It's great to know you can buy a RTR off the wall and be competitive.
(Mike with your format you don't have that, by allowing the cross breeding of manufacturers the off the shelf kit doesn't compete without upgrades)

PS. It is always better to have more people in fewer classes, rather than more classes with fewer people.
