Hi guys, I'm thinking about trying to make it out there soon(ish). I was just wondering what classes you guys run outdoors? I saw a looong thread around here before for this track, but I lost it haha. Also how much is it? I know these questions have been asked 100 times before, so sorry =/.

I have another question too actually. I have a Slash however I'm thinking of getting a different vehicle to actually race with. What class / car would you guys recommend starting at? I was thinking of getting a RC10B4.1 RTR, or a 8ight 2.0 RTR. I know that question has been asked too about 100 times, I just wanted to get some local guys' input.

Thanks so much!

Nobody runs 1/10 buggies. It's all short course and gas buggy and truggy 1/8 scale. I would get a 1/8 electric buggy if more people would run them or if the nitro guys weren't too scared to run against them.

After seeing the Red Cat electric 1/8 scale buggy and the short course truck run around the track and I got to test drive the short course truck I think one of these would be my next purchase. I have a electric Red Cat drift car and I have been really happy with it and you can't beat the price.

Did you read my post? These cars are very fast and they handle great and fun to run its not legal to race because of the dual lipo but I like it.

Yeah, but at least they're good, so are the batts fwiw. Anyway, if I ever have a problem with one, I can just toss it and get another for 1/4-1/8 of what the overpriced brands run. You break something on one of those cars and can't get parts for it, then it just sits there and mocks you until they eventually do get parts or you go and buy something that has support.

Anyway, as soon as I say nobody runs 1/10 buggies, people start showing up with them at the other tracks. Damn you Murphy!

Yes you can get parts for the Red Cat, anything you break they have parts for and they have great support.

Convince me then. I know their prices are good but wrote them off as junk like Exceed. Where are the parts and upgrades? Show me some for a vehicle that's 5 years old.

This thread is about Tri State I'm not going to post a link to another RC car or another local place that sells parts for these cars on this thread. You don't like that brand that's fine but learn your facts.
