I'm prepared to run SCT, buggy, 1/8 buggy and truggy. Though I'll probably focus on SCT and 1/8 buggy. I liked the idea we'd talked about last summer, Matt. Where you have a break out time. If you can run X laps, you bump up, though honestly, I enjoyed running with the faster guys last year as it gave me something for me to shoot for. I don't think anyone would argue that the little Ultima got faster and faster as the year went on.
I would LOVE to run a stadium truck class (it might even be enough to get me to quit everything else... I've always LOVED stadium truck) but can't commit to it yet. Got some stuff going on in the personal life right now. Hopefully someone will at least let me take theirs out for a bit. Too many good memories of racing my XXT-CR around the Ranch Pit Shop and M&M Hobbies back in the day.

The stock motors are way to slow for the sct's now that we all have fast brushless kits. We need to do 13.5 at the minimum. I didn't like the idea of the ribbed front sct tires in the beginning but I do now, now that I have seen them. They are an SCT tire just like bar codes, subcultures, or enduros. The new carvers ARE SCT tires. They are made for the short course trucks. If it is an SCT tire they should be allowed. If there is too much controversy over the tires we all need to run a STOCK SCT tire from any of the SCT trucks made.

Spec
I think limiting to stock SCT tires that come out of the kit is the wrong thing to do. I have 4 pairs of tires and I have it narrowed down to 2 that I mainly run in the rear and Enduro's in the front.
I would keep a spec/novice class setup to where those guys purchasing/new to the hobby can show up with the RTR kits and have fun. Then as they get better they can upgrade just like the rest of us have.
Novice is the key to keeping the hobby alive and helping those guys new to the hobby have fun is where you build the racing from the ground up.
From my past experience the fast guys can run off the new guys because they are intimidated, but that just fuels some people to get better. I will help anyone at anytime to get them to enjoy the hobby and come race again.
You learn much from those around you and that is my 2 cents.
That is one thing CCRCR has the feeling of fun racing and guys who don't take it so seriously but yet still have the competitive competition.
SCT 4x4 open (this class will grow once AE releases the SC10 verision)
SCT openSCT 13.5 /Sportsman/stock
(the reason being I have seen 17.5 in the SCT make it very difficult to clear some of the larger obsticales on the track) Remember SCT are 74oz and I believe 1/10th truck is 60oz that's almost a pound difference!
1/10th stadium 13.5 (What does a RTR kit come with Brushed or Brushless?)
Novice/SCT RTR kits
2wd open
2wd stock
4wd open
and what every you Ying Yang racer agree upon! LOLOLOL

So now that we have all sunk a small fortune in our sct's to be fast and compete everyone wants to run a spec class. Awesome. I hope we will continue a mod class also. I can't afford to build a truck for every class everyone wants to start. I was hoping we could just fill up all the classes we run now before creating 2 or 3 more.

as for classes, i am down for open SCT and 2wd buggy for sure! i would love to run my ofna 1/10 truggy, maybe we can just have a 1/10 scale 4wd class, that would be sct, truggy, whatever, so long as it is 1/10 and 4wd....

i think the only thing we need a stock class for is SCT.
if the concern is getting new people into the hobby and not scaring them away, pretty much everyone starts out with a slash or similar SCT. this would give them a class to be "competitive" in with a truck they just bought off the shelf.
