Default Palomar R/C Track in Fallbrook, California

To All:

I had a chance to talk to the Palomar Flyers Vice President last night and I have good news to report.
They are very close to finishing their track. In about a week they will be lifting by crane a 52' x 32' covered canopy over their driverstand. The only things remainng to be done is to layout build the infield trackand build the frequency board. What I should do is repost the update letter I received.
I'm also told they will bring in at least 2 truck loads of CLAY.
The infield track will have elements for 1/10 electric , nitro and 1/8th gas.
I can tell you right now the lanes will be at least 11 feet wide.
They will run anything that rolls. 1/8 nitro, 1/10 electric nitro -whatever-
Also they do have a dirt oval on the outside the infield track.
For those interested, you can go up on saturdays at about 8:00 a.m. and volunteer to help them out.
To get to their track take 15 north unitl to get to 76. You will see the driver stand from the freeway on the right.

Late,

Will they be allowing MTs? Most tracks do not, cause they rip up the surface and aaren't really for racing anyway. Will it be planned to be blue groove? It would be really hard if the MTs are running to make it blue groove. Hard enough with 1/8 buggy.

I dont know if their going to go blue groove, but I know that palomar is going to buy CLAY.
Yes you do have to become a member $150 dollars a year-I most definitely will become a member.
My understanding is that members will have access to the track anytime during the daylight hours 7 days a week. The track wont be available at night.

U know if they'll give a track trial before buying a membership?

I'll ask saturday about track trials.

I forgot to answer edsebs question about racing-at the minimum, Palomar wishes to host roar club races-

palomar updates:

My son and I went up to the palomar r/c complex to take some measurements today....the track surface is huge!
From our calculations its going to be the biggest track in southern california.
The layout work we are doing will take about a week or two but we are designing several layouts to submit.

Their newsletter also states that you can have a ROAR membership to race there. I check it out quite often since I live in that community right accross from it.
