Default new track in maryland?

Does anybody knows or plans to open an offroad track/bashing track here in Maryland- near Ft. meade, Anne arundel, howard or PG county this year?

offroad in maryland? heh, tough ask there i tell ya. such a shame, but the way of the world dealing with the counties and DnR. heck even onroad tracks are under fire unless they are housed in an existing hobbyshop's floor space.

sadly there is no offroad in the greater baltimore area. even some make case of none in md at all. i've heard things tryin to start in hagerstown. and before you say it, Nuclear v2.0 was never really allowed a chance to grow despite the county doing more than ever to help (including fact that they got a 2nd shot after being rubbed out of 1st county location). This instance the 'powers that be' wanted credit all the time for gettin the track.........well they can take credit in its untimely passing too.

keep hoping. perhaps i'll get a wild hair on my ass and start a shop and prospect a site for a track down in this new development i moved into (glen burnie). its gettin retail/commercial space in the next 2yrs so who knows.

R

feel my pain as a primarily electric offroad enthusiast. granted all the friends i've made in racing southern PA is a nice offset.

I moved out of Md over the summer but Middle River Hobbies in Baltimore Co. Had opened a new Off Road Track about a week before I moved I never had a chance to visit it, they are located about 20-25mins from Glenburnie.

Middle River is a good bashing track.

Nuclear R/C is still around, ROAR race there this week... but I'm not sure about their "rules" about using the track for bashing.

Quarryville, PA has Xtreme R/C Raceway... bit of a trip, but nice track. There is also Blue Diamond Park in Delaware, but again, it's a trip.

Middle River is a young and upcoming track. We are starting our first race season and we are in a learning process. Yes it may have rocks but its being worked on. We have done some track updates and are running races please stop by and come race with us.

i stated that in february. when all that folks could reference was the 1st track. much has indeed changed. and i'm sure they are very pleased with the results. there is now a track out west in h-town as well. so with onroad dying a horrid death at the hands of its ownself and those desperate to create a class where they can win or MEOW tryin to do it w/rule changes. offroad surges. yeh not so much on 1/10, but at least offroad in general!

Funny, im building an offroad track in the back yard here in waldorf. Not sure it should be listed considering all the problems everyone else has with the county codes and all. but im probably only gonna be able to run electric. maybe my own 1/8th scale on the weekends. you know gotta keep the neighbors happy. Foot space is about 130 by 100. trying to make roar lanes. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know
