Paulie why don't you just donate to the track instead of my junky one.
If it does not have a serial port (highly doubt it) then it won't work.

Paulie, looking for an adjustable battery box for a project.

The battery I am trying to fit is

138mm x 45mm(wide) x 40mm
Will the box on the Vorza go down to fit the 45mm wide. The length and height should not be an issue. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it does not have a serial port, but like Ken eluded to, I'm sure you can get an adapter, no?

Ken, yes, the Vorza's battery box can accomodate. I just measured it. It can actually go smaller than 45mm wide. The outside box dimention width will always be 60mm, but it has those adjustable pieces that click into place to make it smaller internally (width wise). It's like adjusting the width on your printer to accept 4x6 photo paper, instead of 8 1/2 x 11, but the paper tray itself will always be 11".

The outside length though is actually adjustable. The two pieces move toward or away from each other to the desired length.

I haven't seen the Vorza battery box for sale anywhere though, have you found one? EDIT: HPI has it on their site, it's $18 for the set. Not sure if it comes with screws or not (they don't show a picture).

On a different note, what's up with this weather? I mean seriously. 3 day weekend, 3 days of rain. I go to work today, and the Sun is shinin', and the roads are all dry. As soon as I get home from work...BAM! Full up downpour!

Seriously, can't I see the Sun when I'm NOT at work?

Thanks for the info, looks like most of the spares for the Vorza are a little scarce. Have not found a tray in stock anywhere. No worries I have options.

Like I said earlier...........I am going to the track on saturday, even if I have to put up the tent and drive the slash in the rain.

I can get a USB- RS232 adapter, 9pin or 25pin. I have a spare Laptop we tried before but no serial output. We can try again.

Not sure if you saw my edit above Ken, but HPI does indeed have the Vorza battery tray in stock. It's $18. The straps are a separate item and they are also in stock, $4.

I think it is the 9pin. I don't want to go out in the rain to check. The system is in my shed. I know that the AMB system has had issues when using a usb adapter. Not sure about KO.

Ok, I'm a little chapped. Remember those 8 Zippy batteries I bought? They were $46 each, which was pretty good I thought at the time. Just went on to have a look, and now they are listed for $27 each, in stock!!!

I would have saved $152!!! I e-mailed them to see if there was a "pricing mistake" on the original order and to see if I could recoupe the $152, but I doubt they will...

ARRGH!!!

Ken (or Paul/Jon/Igy)...what batteries would you recommend for the 748? I don't want the ones in the link above due to the wire coming out the side. That would be an issue. They should come out the top, right?

My laptop is fine, just need to get a battery for it, I think Tim had an extra and I'll call Nmci to see if they have any.

On the 748 (Fusion) will work best with leads out of the top of the battery. It does work with wires coming out of the side, you may have to dremel some of the battery box.

The build is going slow...Anthony what do you want in your diffs/shocks?

It's Okinawa, the land of rainy and typooned weekends...that's why they made the Slash waterproof...
