I agree I would rather have had blacks in the main. I could only use the throttle on the carpet without skating around.

WYD,

I think my fastest lap was a 29.211 or .220, not sure but I think I'm close. Looks as if you have 1 bad lap(37.+) and I had 1 bad lap(34.+). I know Pat was purchasing a BLITZ. Did he run that or his Slash?

Also, when will the track layout be changing?

Thanks,

Bryan

Ok so we are roughly the same pace. I know in the 2nd and 3rd rounds I ran 28.19 lap and 28.21 but nothing like that in the main. Track changed some for all as even the 2wd mod guys said the track loosened up on them a good amount.

I did take a minute to weigh the Slash, Strike and SC10. I didn't have a Blitz at the time. The Slash is 4lbs 13oz, The SC10 was 4lbs 9oz and the Strike was 4lbs 7oz. This is ready to run with no lipo. I'm sure the Blitz should be close to the Strike and SC10. I need to check the Slash to make sure it didn't have any extra weight in it so I will do that tommorrow and update any findings.

My thinking might be to for points racing to have some sort of weight limit for the trucks. This way it would at least keep things a little more even for all. Its just a thought so let me check the weights again and make sure none of them have any extra weight in them so I get some fair weights.

As for the track I was trying to get Chris to keep the layouts for 1 month and then put a new layout up. This way we can get the track very close to the same for those weeks so we can have something to check are laptimes against. It also makes it easier for us changing over the track each week.

What do you guys think about the changing the track every 4 weeks? 2nd if lets say the weights of these trucks are as I posted what do you thinkabout some sort of weight limit? Trucks might not all be exactly the same but if the weights are similiar and everyone is running them spec it might keep it a tad but more equal (if that is possible and I'm trying to be as fair as possible to all brands but we have alot of different trucks so it is very hard) but SCT trucks in CORR do have minimum weight limits.

Bryan,

I didn't get the BLITZ yet it's on back order, doesn't matter cause I am still having a great time with the Slash. I would like to run them back to back to compare for my self if you know what I mean.

WYD,
I have added weight to my truck.
So for every two point races the track will change?

I cant wait to come down and run offroad in the slash class. I usally run dirt oval but this will be my first time running offroad at bumps. wish I could come a lot but I'm driving from the Scranton area and its quite a drive to go every week. Cant wait to run offroad! it looks like a lot of fun.

Does chris have any slash bodys in stock? Also a new Titan motor? Mine body all beat up.

Hey wyd

Here is the stock weight from their websites

sc10 2080g
slash 2160g
strike 1950g

In the roar handbook it has a minimum weight of
2098g

Your weight in grams

sc10 2068g
slash 2182g
strike 2013g

My sc10 weight is 1964g with no battery and 3oz of added weight.
The weight was done with state certified scale.

On opening weekend running the slash it was far easier to drive and more comfortable when i added a 100g battery weight tray. My hotlap did not change but I was able to put an easy 10 laps together heavy versus flipping a lot and only bringing in 9 laps when I was light.

That sounds about right. I will have to make sure that Chris is going to only change the track once a month. Not 100% so let me check with him tommorrow when I get to the track.

Thanks. The other way to do it after talking to another racer who had a great idea is to run a Spec Slash class and then instead of a full on open SCT class to run all other brands along with any one with a Slash who would like to move up and then allow brushless up to a 13.5. Kinda limit it some to keep them more controllable and also allow hopups and any SCT tire.

I know a few guys went to a track in CT and they run a little more open class but limit guys to 17.5 brushless and any SCT tire.

Just some things to think about for points get started here. I will talk with everyone this SUnday for a drivers meeting for the Spec guys and the open SCT class. Just trying to get a final setup for points.
