The offroad normally starts up again in October when the weather starts getting a little colder.

All the Bump racers. I wanted to post up about our Charity event;

Our charity event for June 25, 26 and 27th, has been changed up a bit:

We will run a full event saturday and a full event on sunday. 3 qualifiers and mains both days.

So, racers that can only attend one day, you will be able to get in a full day.

Please help me by posting which day you plan to attend. Or go to rcsignup.com to preregister. We have an open signup on there under "1st Annual Ronald McDonald House Charity Event"

I have food planned for both days and need to plan accordingly.

Friday will be open for practice. 10 am starts all three days. Thank you for your help with our event.

I certainly am not asking you to not attend a Bump's race that weekend, but, by all means attend our event on their off day.

Hey guys,
As indoor season is creeping up Im looking into buying a 1/10 buggy. I've never ran one and would appreciate some input. Which class is more popular, 2wd or 4wd? Im still not sure of the different classes and would like to learn more about the differences. Also what brand of parts are more available at the shop?

I'd prefer to get a kit since I already have most of the equipment I will need. I have a mmp in my ve8 and thought I would either use it or get another one. Ive mostly raced 1/8 buggy, truggy and a slash. So any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

hey tom,
i would say get 2wd...4wd do run but 2wd is i say the bigger class.as for brand of car/parts

losi or associated..they have tons of parts for both cars at bumps.
the rest is up to you..
im still using a losi bk1 from back in the day...lol

either car, chris has great prices on em too. i do find the xxx easier to drive, but sincerely believe that in average (but capable) hands, the b4 is faster.

i say that knowing full well that my best results finish-wise have been with a losi. ugh, oh well it keeps it fun.

2wd is definatly the one you want, they are usaually the biggest class next to SCT, 4wd can be hit or miss. I would have to say the losi is a more stable pushy car easier to drive and jump. The AE car seems to have more rotation but can be slightly harder to drive.
If I had to suggest one I would say Losi to someone who is just getting started in 2wd.
The Mamba will work fine you may need to remove the fan to clear the body. Somewhere around a 10.5 for a motor is fine. Not 100% sure on the tires but I know alot of people were running pink BK bars.

Thanks guys for the input. Right now I am leaning towards Losi since I have the 8ight and like it. What would a be a good esc/motor choice that would get me into the right class? Also I was wanting to get a buggy but would it be better to start out with a truck? Does it matter..

Jac9, Is a 10.5 a common motor?
