Chris,

I was out there yesterday, and all the water was gone off the small track. It had been drying for a couple days. Looked a little slick, but.. Today was a nice day, so it may be good by now. The 1/8 scale track is ready.

Default Slash racing on Sunday?

I read a couple of posts back that the track was trying to get some Slash racing on Sunday. How is that going? Do you see alot of Short Course trucks coming out? Whats being allowed as far as Short Course that is? Are there any limitations as far as motor size or which short course trucks can race with another?

HCR was offering SC racing on Sunday's but the turn out never really happened. It's kinda weird. They get a lot of SC's out there, but getting them to race is kinda tough. I know it mainly has to do with the cost of buying a transponder. It's too bad.

Sunday's are club Race days now. If enough SC's show up, there would be no problem running them.

Do you have to have a transponder to practice/race? Does the track offer
transponder rentals? If not is there a certain transponder that HCR recommends?

You don't need a transponder to practice. You need it for racing. AMB is the standard, and is used just about everywhere. Not sure if the track has house transponders.

You can find used transponders for sale for about $80. They are about $115 new.

cyberacer is correct. You do not have to have a transponder to practice, but is required for racing. HCR does not offer house transponders at this time. AMB is the standard. Keep an eye out in the sales forum, or on ebay. You can sometimes find good deals on a used one.
