What's up everyone, LRH -- this is probably my 2nd post here at R/C Tech, as I'm coming out of retirement after 15 years . I just ordered a SC10 kit + 10/5 brushless/sensored setup (probably need to pick up a 13.5 for this track) after doing a bunch of research and cannot wait to visit the track and help support it.

I was just a kid when I was into RC cars back in the day, and back then, there weren't any tracks near me, so my buddies and me would just bash around parking lots and dirt fields, so an actual TRACK is new to me... I hope you guys allow newbies. When I say newbies, I mean new to tracks, new to brushless (what, no more cracked brushes, bent springs and cans of hot shot motor cleaner??), LiPos, sensored escs... I can't believe how much it's changed.

Who knows, if my Ex goes to storage finally, I'll be bringing out a vintage Ultima (well, half Ultima, half Triumph w/ Losi parts haha) and Losi XX...probably to get smoked.

Anyway, I just wanted to post my appreciation for hard work and dedication like this, and hope to visit the track soon. Like I said, hope you don't mind track noobs.

Welcome back to the sport, you will find that things are a little different than before but still is all about having fun with friends so we can't wait to see you at the track, I am personally new to the sport but I am learning a lot from people like Lorenzo at LRH, he can give you advise and feel free to post any questions that you may have
Also come over to the track even without a truck, I am sure you still will have a good time

Just looked at your sig and it reminds me that I think one thing I might regret is going with an LRP Pro / Eraser 10.5 (sensored, tho) vs Castle Creations -- any thoughts on that?

Both are good i personally think the castle is alot stronger for offroad cause so many people just bash the sh!t outa these things but its a personal pref.

If your going to go big might as well go huge and run the castle 5700kv like me !

At first I thought the LRP A.I. Pro Reverse did not come with reverse cut out, but it does, so I am happy.

5700kv no wonder you were overheating your truck haha. Nice to hear you got it dialed in tho. the LRP Eraser 10.5 @ 4100kv seems mild compared to yours, but it is "modified sport" after all. I'm sure I'll add a hotter motor (and better LiPo) down the road.
