This picture shows a couple of things that I think are interesting. First notice that this lane is very wide, a couple of pipes and a small hump or 2 make a nice rhythm and speed section. Very little materials required to make a nice section. Second thing, notice the dirt, not every good track need hard pack clay, they don't have any and we won't either. The more open flowing track versus a technical track will help negate the loose dirt. A section like this can be anywhere on the track.

Robert, if this would help as an attachment to the LOI, just let me know. This is not the design of the tracks, just a visual of the track sizes.

You mean these numbers?

Sorta...

I need the max size of each track...

For example, 1/8th track will be 180ft wide x 150ft deep, etc

I need that for each track. I have graph paper here and I'd like to know how much room to alot for each track...

I may load it into my animation program when it's all done to give you guys a no kidding visual of what my design looks like...

Paulie,

I would base my design off of the following measurements,

nitro track (upper track) 125' wide, 50-60 deep
elec track (lower track) 125-150' wide 50-60 deep

this is giving a 30 ' easement between the two tracks

From the measurements above, it looks like they will be the same size, with the electric track being 25 feet wider...

I thought the nitro track (upper track) was supposed to be bigger, no?

basic tracks I came across,

the top track layout cold be reversed to put the long banked corner on the left instead of the right

ignore the driver stand at the bottom of the lower track

also, scale, for these drawings, there really isn't one, it does look like top track fits perfectly into the area, along the tree line.

Paulie,

you are correct, the upper track is bigger (longer).

Here's a quick sketch of my Nitro design...

It has a little bit of everything - fast section , flowing section, some technical/rhythm, jumps, washboard section, step up turn, banked turn, two small but long table taps on the rear stretch...all with good marshaling on the infield. None of the jumps impead your view, and water drainage shouldn't be a problem with this design.

I also tried to maximize lane material usage as Ken suggested, so we're not having to create double lanes for everything.

Each square is 10ft, so as it stands now, it's about 130ft wide, by 70ft deep.

Let me know what you think...

very, very nice..... I like the design and the flow

at first I thought I was looking at "something else" on the right half of the track,

apparently I have been away from home for to long.... I do have a nickname for the track though....
