Stopped by today, and there was a rock crawling course. It was hard to judge from the parking lot, but we are probably talking 15'x40'.

saw two trucks leaving the track site today, they dumped more asphalt chunks, think it's enough...hoping for more dirt!!!

Guess we could start making the crawling courses, nice thing about the asphalt the markers can be nailed in....

I'm guessing that no one has started any of this. If we have the Holiday Slash Bash at Blues Bay, I would like to bring the timing system out for testing. I also have a list started and a drawing for the Kiddie Track that I'll try to remember to bring along.

Default More small orange tubing

Picked this up today from the recycler. More of the small orange tube that John found. It's 2 long pieces joined with black tape. I'm not sure on the length, but it filled the back of my Landcruiser. Possibly over 50 feet. I will measure it when I take it to Courtney on Sat. morning.

Sorry, but they are attachments. I "have not reached that limit yet." to post URLs.

good find! just gotta keep looking...

news from Paulie:
Seabees are requesting permit for dirt from Kinser, 10 day lag time. Bummer is the small trucks, too many trips, we'll take what we get tho.

According to a mess hall Marine, they broke the skid doing donuts....nice.

Anybody wanna work on the crawling mound? Clear rocks?

Slash Bash Veterans Day Blues Bay SC Track 0900, with timing system! Races and prizes! Food! Friend! Ken's playing golf, wuss.

Default No work days?

ANYONE up for a work day this Saturday? I have new shovel and rake that are still clean. I also want to burn some nitro and maybe try out the new Blitz. (IF THE DAMN THING EVER COMES IN)

All,

I am back on Island now and tracking dirt, way ahead and overall site progress.

I went to the site again yesterday, the SeaBee's were delivering more dirt to the upper area and are scheduled to do so throughout the week.

I am going to check to see if there are any units that need to get road time for their drivers in the dump trucks, if so, that may be a way to more dirt on site, faster.

I also have a new shovel and rake ready to get broken in, so I am up for Sat/Sun.

I will also be doing my weekly BBQ on thurs if anyone is interested.

I may ask the SeaBee's to show up so that I/we can re-engage/focus on the way ahead.

If you are interested, let me know so I can plan accordingly.

Rob

All,

I will be heading to the site tomorrow morning around 0800 to do some work, spreading dirt, marking the area and hanging the swwet signs YDBD did up for the seabee's.

If anyone would care to join me, come on over, bring a rake, shovel, (wheel Barrow if you have one) and some gloves, etc.

The seabee's were spreading the dirt around today when I was there, so if nothing else, we can start to remove any of the big rocks, etc that are in the dirt.

I hope to see you there.

Robert
