The website doesn't really tell me anything. What time races are? what days? schedule? What trucks/truggies? What engines? etc? I'm extremely new to all this. I raced trucks a while back and am thinking about getting back into it.

well outdoor racing is over now so race schedule will not be out till spring time. basicly 1/8 scale is the class. either buggy or truggy as far as motor size .21 for truggy or buggy. I would recomend the js .21 from ebmods. another way to go is go to hobby headquarters and talk to allen and terry they can probubly get you a good deal on a losi rtr truggy or buggy there very nice people and like to help out as much as they can.

2wd, 4wd, or is either ok??

Also, what is a core truck and how many usually show up?? Do the buggies and truggies race together?

1/8 scale buggy/truggy is 4wd there 2 different classes. core truck is slashes,blitz,sc10 for drums there alittle on the small side and you wount be able to clear alot of the jumps. usually get a couple corr trucks but its not like a garented class. if you want to race competivly and asure that there is enough ppl to race you want 1/8 scale buggy or truggy. if your looking at price wise id go with hotbodies if you want to do a kit the d8/d8t are very well put together. those are the one i drive. if you want something that is 95% ready to go then look at the losi 2.0b rtr or losi 2.0t rtr. like i said your best bet is to go in and talk to terri or allen at hobby headquarters and see what they have to offer you most likely it will have to be orderd in.

I'm hoping to join some races this year. Problem is I don't have anyone that wants to go with me to be my pit man.

I typically just go there on evenings and weekends to run my cars on the track for fun but have been thinking of joining a few races.

I have a Jammin X2 CRT Pro truggy and a Jammin X1 CR Pro buggy. Anyone else race these? What does most people run?

Are 1/8th truggy and buggy the only classes that are ran? I have other cars and can run 1/10th 4wd buggy, monster truck and who knows what else as I'm always buying/trading and getting different cars. I had a 1/10th SC but traded it for the X1 because the Hobby Headquarters track didn't seem like the place to run it.

To me this is a hard, and expensive track to practice on. The jumps are huge compared to other tracks I've seen. For a "noob" those jumps can be very daunting, I've broken a few parts because I didn't clear a jump and did a face plant into the side of the landing mound or didn't go far enough and the rear wheels clipped the peak of the landing mound and the car flipped.

Last year I payed the $75 for the yearly track fee, don't think I went there enough to make it worth it as towards the end I was too busy and had other things going on.

Just decided to do a brushless conversion to my truggy. Anyone run brushless truggies at hobby headquarters? Can I run it with the nitros?
