Default Re: Tires

jkerr0043 thanks for the advice, by the way, I don't care if you knock on me, I get it everyday, only litterally cuz I'm short
Anyways, has anyone found a good front/rear tire selection for the track? I need to make a run to Hobby People to get some tires, so Let me know... ( all I have are Bashing tires, speed paws, dirt paws & hawgs, SAND paws, etc)

Thanks
Jeff

So far, the besto combo I've found for trucks is the Losi Directional fronts in Red compound and the Proline Lug nuts in M3 compound. These tire hook up awesome when there's some moisture on the track and they're the only thing that gives any grip when it's needing water.

Any time! I'm sure you will enjoy it. (Although I think you'd enjoy a Losi more! )I'm really thinking hard about trying to get a 4WD class going. There was one guy out there after you left with one. They just look like they're so much fun. If you and I get one, and we talk a few more people into it, we may be able to get it going. What do you say?

I agree with you kerr on the 4wd class. I would be interested in that.
My plans are to get rid of the xx4 I have and buy tc3 and 'O' conversion kit and build my 4wd kit. Bit pricey but worth it. Losi doesn't have anything right now that can touch the TC3 'o' conversion.

Hello Fred,

We have off-road racing at Family Hobbies on Friday nights. It is going to be just great. I went to Family Hobbies last Friday night to hook up my cars and I can tell you the facilities are great and the track is great. I am looking forward to racing Friday nights.

You will have to get some step pins or lug nuts for your car to hook up, for both truck and buggy. It does not matter what compound you use, hard or soft. Your car should be setup very soft and gear way down, about 3 teeth pinion below socal.

I saw a lot of old friends there last Friday night from old discount hobby. It was just like old times. I talked to Family Hobbies Monday morning and he said they are trying his best to get racing this Friday night; I am to call back Wednesday to find out. If there is racing this Friday night I will be there, if not I will be at SoCal.

If a 4 wheel buggy class starts I will get one. I will get the Yok special. I also have two Losi xxx cars for sale. One is a truck and the other is a buggy, both in great condition. I am selling each for $100.00

Well off-road is just going to be a practice class for me, but if you guys want to run 4wd, I'll sell the B4 and get one. I'm just not going to dump a ton of cha-ching into offroad..

So how many people want to get in on this? I'm not gonna waist time by putting a stock motor in a 4wd, mod is the only way I play

That may be all we need for Family, but I still want to try a 10x1

I am going to take a wait and see attitude. I am going to see how many people race with 4 wheel mod buggy. I am not going to spend $500.00 for the car just to race 2 other people.

At SoCal I cannot get even 4 people on a Saturday night to race sportsman mod sedan.
I have race 4 wheel mod before and it is great fun. At that time it was with old discount hobby and the only 4 wheel car was the Losi. The class died because the car would break all the time. But now there are some good 4 wheel cars.

We shall see. I think it will all be trucks and buggies. At this time I am going to spend my money on an on-road sedan. I think the HPI Pro4 and the MI2 of course.
