Default Pala Casino

Anybody have info on this new facility going in? I hear that it is a huge project that includes all styles of MX racing and an RC track with all the amenities-camping etc.

This has been in the works for several years now. It's supposed to be quite a complex- mainly MX tracks, but possibly karting, quads and RC tracks too.

I know a friend-of-a-friend that is closely involved with the project. The last I talked to him they were still working on permitting and lots of red tape, but hopefully it will happen soon. It would be the closest place for me to ride and race RC!

If I hear anything new I'll post it.

Guess I should have done a quick search first. They have a web site now:
http://www.palaraceway.com/index.asp

Don't see anything yet on RC tracks though.

If your talking about Pala flyers club lot.. where they also have the rc track that is all beaten up and not even taken care of.. thats the one, but it SUCKS! I never am going back there ever again! They charged way to much and there is no power supplied, watering, and the track just is plain crap. worse than a backyard track. I heard that they are shutting it down.

I was over there not too long ago checking out the La Jolla Indian reservation. I saw a sign about moto cross, etc... i am assuming it is this that you are talking about.

I am not referring to the old Pala Rc club. There s a new facility going in approx 5 miles east of the casino and has been approved by the all of the gov't agencies. No confirmation of an RC track as of yet!

5 miles east of pala casino.. uhmm.. that would be where the harrahs casino is.. and still no sign of track for rc.. My buddy, Karl, has his own home above Harrahs casino in Valley Center with a track that has clay dirt. He sure would love a few people over to have fun race with, build the track.. and of corse little party (bbq, beers, and RCing!) lol..

I will need to know some guys first before bring em over there... we dont want any untrustworthy fools!

As I indicated above no confirmation as of yet on the rc track...only rumors. I beleive if someone asked them them it would happen. Also the site says 1.5 miles not 5 miles east of the casino.

Actually my Cousin is responsible for pitching the idea to the Pala Indian Reservation. He is a member of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and is a close friend with Ryan, the one building the MX Park. They have not started the actual building process yet, as the reclamation of the land is in process. The actual property is owned by the Pala tribe and has been leased for many years to a major materials division for rock, concrete, gravel, sand, and asphalt production. The company was formerly Cal-Mat Materials which was then purchased by Vulcan Materials years ago. The land is approx. 3/4 to 1 mile from the casino as you head east on 76.

The lease of that particular property is coming to an end, which means that Vulcan is now in the process of reclamation = putting the land back in a suitable condition to be used.

There was originally talk of an R/C Track being put in but i have not heard anything since. Get a petition going of San Diego and Riverside county residents who are interested and I will try to get it to the proper person. That doesnt mean there will be a track, but it might be helpful.
