Asphalt Onroad Racing W/PVC Pipe in Orange City,FL....LOOK!
The club(West Volusia R/C Club is based in Volusia,Seminole,and Orange County). We have ordered PVC pipe for our onroad track that will have a straightaway of at least 150 feet with onroad turns and corners. This pipe has been ordered rom some members in the club as well as a counter system for at least 10 cars/trucks for now. Carpet made cornerr will be made like the ones you see in the reedy races w/stripes. The surface is a medium serface to race on that will be blown off before every race. We will spray the track with cola water so you know were serious about racing. Big lot and tons of parking. A driver stand(5 to 7 feet tall) will be made up. The club is looking into donationd from Home Depot, and Lowes for the wood. The location is at Johns Appliances in Orange City,FL. We have pics below and a contract signed for approval to race. We have banners,stickers,and t-shirts made for club members. Meeting are starting to be held for updates on the track and other important discussions. Nitro/Electric will be allowed to race, but only seperated into classes. We hope to get sponsorships from LHS, RC dealers, RC magazines, and anyone that can help us in our goal. Here are some pics of a bashing session last weekend. Remember the cones are in the past and we hope to make this a Roar state race in the future. The club is in the works to build an offroad track not far away from the onroad track.

Alright progress is being made we will have our new ILAP timing system by the weekend track has been purchased by a club member we are only lacking a driver stand will update when we have it hope to be up and running within 4 to 6 weeks 1/10 electric/nitro 1/12 oval pan sliders we are gonna start out with club races any and all are still welcome then as we get a little better turnout will will hold points races thanks for looking guys

The new ILAP timing system got here today only 10 transponders though they will have more in a month or 2 they got the track from B&B hobbies they are going back to buy the trailer they had the drivers stand built on i am the one that is going to be building the drivers stand so they hope to be able to have there first running right around the end of september hope some new faces can come out and have some fun there are going to be trophies and plauqes or however u spell it handed out once it gets more organized and any help from the experienced guys with be greatly appreciated to make this much smoother so everybody has a good time

Just a update we are currently talking with a gentleman for a new site to run at in deltona fl it will be indoors we will have the entire 14,000sf flooring to work with a/c tv's everywhere snackbar beer bar plenty of power this is gonna happen every single sunday we have our scoring system ready to put to use we are gonna try to accomidate 1/10 tc and 1/10 oval and 1/12 oval sliders minis anything electric powered since it is inside only the cost will be $5.00 to run all day long we are currently figureing out what type of drivers stand to use since we making the move to indoors there will be more updates in the very near future we have a meeting with everybody in our club and the owners of the new site to work out all the fine details soon as we nail them down i will post them and some pics of the new site
