Man, I lived in Dayton for 4.5 years and there were like no tracks in the area. Now that I moved to Florida, they are springing up all over the place!

Hopefully they will still all be there if I move back anytime soon!

The Air Force moved me to Florida in 2006, but I was getting my Master's full time since summer of 2004 so there wasn't a whole lot of time for R/C during that. When I first moved down to Dayton in fall of 2001 I spent some time looking around for tracks, and seem to remember some indoor racing south of Dayton (like 40+ minute drive) and an outdoor track about that far away too, but nothing else.

Now it's an 1.5 hour drive into Orlando for the once a month races at Superior Hobbies. They are supposed to be opening an outdoor track near me in Palm Bay, but it keeps getting delayed.

I just remember seeing a few RC tracks in the Dayton area now - an indoor offroad one in Springfield, this parking lot track in Centerville, another one at the Hobby Shop - I don't remember hearing about any of those when I was up there!

Hey guys, I have added the nitro touring class as well. also, looks like we're having a cookout this Friday night, and there is a sidewalk sale at Crosspoint Center this weekend as well.

Good deal. If I ever get out that way, I'll bring my gear and check out the track.

Ken is a great guy and a very good race director. The track is very lucky to have him

Thanks for the kind words Andy.

Also, after talking with WYD last evening, it looks like the Hobbytown here will have an in house painter. Everyone has seen racing body's, and knows Donnie's work. He's one of the best, and has won many awards for his work. we're very fortunate to have him.

Hopefully the weather will treat us right this Friday, and we'll be able to get some racing in. Track looks good, and I know it had decent grip on our impromptu test and tune day. I may drop the 12th scaler down and see how it goes Friday before we get going.
