We want it to be a flat asphalt track we can roll carpet over so we can have the both of best worlds. Either a asphalt track, or a carpet track that would be use for testing before big carpet races like the IIC (Indoor International Championships) in vegas.

If you do end up doing an indoor asphalt track, please do whatever it is that needs to be done to cure it indoors. (I remember someone telling me it was a chemical treatment) Like SoCal had. Hot Bodies had a small indoor track and hobby shop for a while up in Temecula. They called it Rickey's RC. It was just laid out as a test track in their warehouse and left. (This was when HB was just a distributor for HPI and they didn't really make anything.) It never cured properly and the track just came apart. I ran there a few times and asphalt would actually stick to the tires and come up as you took your car off the track.

I think it's mostly wishful thinking that there will be offroad and onroad, but in reality there's only going to be offroad.

Verification anyone?

RevDupraceway stated earlier in this thread that they will be having offroad as well as asphalt on-road.
