I'll be there for Saturday racing with my Slash! My son and nephiew have them too and I think I can get a buddy to show up with one as well. That makes four.

I ran up at Pegasus Hobbies last weekend and they are getting alot of people for the Slash class. I tried to talk a few of them into coming to ARC, but most of them live farther up north. We need to get more people from San Diego at ARC with their Slashes- there has to be tons of them out there!

The ARC layout is great for these trucks right now. So much fun!

Great video Joel! Mark is fast for sure! He came out and set the standard at ARC. Looking forward to this weekend. I hope to have a slash soon! If you have a car bring it out! ARC welcomes all vehicles.

This really isnt the right thread to ask this question since this is an outdoor Nitro track that is nowheres close to where SoCal was....... but SoCal closed because of "lack of interest" (both by the owners and the racers) and I believe the big part of it was that owners of the building wanted the space back to lease out to a "normal" business. Jim had no interest in moving the track to a new location.

Check out the newly opened OCRC in Huntington Beach for your indoor 1/10th electric off road needs if thats what you are looking for. They have SoCal's old dirt and alot of the old SoCal racers too!

So, what will the turn turnout be like at ARC Raceway this weekend?
Any other races going to conflict with racing here this Saturday?
Hope it's a big crowd !

No other races this weekend...ARC should have a good turnout.

Fun racing today. Good Slash turnout as well. I think there were 8 or so Slash's racing. They really look good out there. Fun to watch.

Sounds awesome. Sorry I missed it. I wish my other life would stop getting in the way of RC. Come on already people, don't you know I'd rather play with small cars than see you? LOL!

I'd like to get out there and start racing. Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy a slash. Is everyone running their slash stock? what type of batteries? Thanks for all the help. I want to get out there and start racing. I also plan on running truggy, once I figure out how to break-in and tune this engine.

I run all stock electrics / motor and a 7 cell nimh pack in my Slash. I've found that to be a really good combo. Not too much power to hook up with the stock tires, but enough extra oomph to get over those doubles.

Most shops are selling them for $199, but you can find them for a little less online. It really is the most fun racing you can have for 200 bucks.

Ok, I'll just see about picking one up on friday then. Does anyone know what a personal transponder sells for at the track, I'll need to bring enough with me to buy one.

Thanks for the help.
