I would say 15 to 20 minutes from the Winchester road overpass on the 15 to the track with no traffic.

From the track it's about 10 minutes drive to the food area at Butterfield Stage road and the 79S. There's a Carl's Jr., a couple taco shops there, Pizza Hut, Chinese Buffet, Sushi Love Boat, Coldstone Creamery, and the Hot Dogg Shop, all at that intersection. Then of course you can eat at the track at the little stand they'll be having on race days.

About 1/2 mile further west from the intersection there's KFC, El Pollo Loco, a Chinese restaurant (no buffet), Killarney's Irish Pub and Grill and Mexican restaurant.

Next block west there Panda Express, Applebees, Red Brick Pizza.

Hope that helps!!!!

I am really anxious to get to run on the track when it is done! Due to the fact it is only 5 miles from my house.

I can't wait either. I am new to racing and I want to improve my driving skills with some track time.

Hey Teeforb, where are you from, San Diego or Compton? When you are in Compton, do you go to Crystal Park Raceway?

I live in SD, but I am from Compton. I did Crystal Park's (basic) website. I know all the guys up and and the Mugen drivers. When I go out there, I visit Crystal Park.

"Vail lake resort, ca" does not come up on yahoo maps.

I work in Harbor City every other weekend and my mom lives in North Long Beach. When I am down there for work or when I got to visit moms, I try to get some track time at Crystal Park when I can. If your going to be down that way let me know, maybe we can meet up.

There isnt an adress listed for Vail Lake Resort............exit at 79 South/Temecula Pkwy off the 15 fwy. Head east on 79 South, go approx. 9 miles........you'll see a big sign for Vail Lake Resorts....TURN LEFT into the park. Follow the road into the park, follow signs toward water slides. They'll be on your left, follow the road up the hill next to the water slides. Follow it around until you see an old concrete go kart track (should end up on your left) Turn left at the dirt road next to the track, follow it to the back. And voila! There you are.

the exit off the freeway is now called 79 south/Temecula Pkwy, Vail Lake resort is about 8-10 miles off the freeway.
