Default Track In San Diego: Ucsd Area?

Hey guys, I'm going to UCSD, and I'm wondering if there are any formal/informal tracks around here?
Thanks

I do know of a group of UCSD students who on a weekly basis meet in one of the UCSD parking lots and run their cars. They have been doing this for about 5+ years now. One of my former wrestlers in high school who went to UCSD used to participate in this activity. I'll check into what they're doing these days.

Wow, that group still gets together? I remember running with them off of Mira Mesa Blvd years ago, but didn't think they'd still be around.

If you are up for the drive, alot of the guys from SD come race with us in Norco. I think its about an hour drive but worth it for some fun racing and hanging with great people.

We are racing this sunday if you want to come down. Here is the link to our tracks.

thnx for the invite, but i don't think i can go that far for this. i want something close by, and recreational that i can do on freetime anytime. i'd love to go up there if i ever decide to go to that general area, though, i'll bookmark that site just in case.
thnx

The RC Heat track is really cool, one of the nicest parking lot tracks out there. I also drive up to SoCal in huntington beach at least once a week..

I just came from Hobbytown and they've worked out all the details and the parking lot races are back on right in front of the shop. Races start at 10am. Its the Hobbytown in San Marcos. Its closer than Norco, we'll see the turn out. I'm actually not sure which race I'm going to.

Is it at the same location as the old parking lot races were?

Its actually right in front of the shop now. The asphault is a little bumpy, since there was some recent construction dug out a trench.
