Personally, I think a 1/18th open class would be cool during the summer since there is no other place to really run that class during that time. Also, the crt.5 electrics look awesome, but I don't know how many people actually have them, or are willing to buy one. Personally, I like 1/18th and 1/10th buggy (I will run whatever motor class people agree on even though my skill level is stock or 19 turn).
I think the most important thing is to keep the rules simple because it seems electric RC is just nuts with all the varying classes/rules. I think it needs to be simple like nitro classes and laid back IMHO.
Great to see that you finaly have your own shop. This just may be what brings me out of retirement. 1/10 carpet sedan ruined the fun of the hobby for me. I've been waiting for a year round indoor dirt track to open close by.
Hey Tazz, thats great that your looking to come out of retirement! The 4wd buggy class with those AE B44's is going to be really strong with alot of turn-out. It really is going to be a fun class. I highly recommend running a B44 with an LRP Sphere Competition ESC with a Novak 10.5 brushless motor and a Maxamps 4400 lipo saddle pack battery. Know any other touring car guys that are burnt out as well? Racing is alot more fun with friends!
Chris, I'm not going to push the 1/18th or electric CRT conversions much, so if your really intrested in running those classes, your going to need to promote them and get others intrested. The 1/10th scale 19b/10.5 bl buggy class will have full support!
Hopefully, with ALOT of luck, I will be able to get the ceiling exhaust fans operational and they will pull enough cfm to run nitro CRT.5's during the summer though!

That would be neat to have the nitro crt.5's during the summer. I remember reading that RC excitement does something similar with running nitro stadium truck indoors.
If any of you guys are itchin' to race there is a trophy race at LIR tomorrow December 30th. Classes will be 2WD 19t, 2WD Mod, 4WD Mod, & Truck Mod. The tire of choice is Losi BK Bars & Taper Pins in pink compound. Doors open at 9AM, racing starts at 11AM.
there are some leaks in the roof, the electricians, will not install the electrical outlets and lighting untill the leaks are fixed. Trying to get the weather and a roofer to cooperate during the winter in New England is apparently difficult.
