Thanks for the heads up, Gix! I went and bought the magazine. It's nice to get props in print . . . now I hope Disney doesn't come after me for copyright violations!

Wait, I think I'd have to MAKE or HAVE money to be worth suing . . . so I think I'm safe!

Max is excited at the thought of going racing again. I hope the stock Slash is easier to drive (wider, longer, heavier?) than a stock T4. For his sake. His FAVORITE thing to race was the 4WD Tamiya Gravel Hound! I'd just like to get out there and jump some jumps and mangle some plastic again. I'll try to keep an eye on the forums. Feel free to e-mail me on any changes or happenings in the Spec Slash class for the Summer, I've got my fingers crossed that we can afford to go racing again

I've been been at the track practically every weekend with my stadium truck ready to race for the past 5 years only to watch everyone quit and/or switch classes.

Now the Slash is bringing 2wd electric back, which I think is going to be great for the turnout and the track.

But the problem is my relatively ancient $185 team T4 is so technically advanced compared to the Slash thats its illegal? So if I want to get back into stadium truck racing, I'll have to park my T4 and buy a Slash that comes with a brushed motor and a radio I dont need or want.

Maybe Wonaberacer was right about us afterall and its time for some new guys to get in and get racing and getting it back to being fun again.
Ed i feel your pain iam looking forward to running my truck again this summer along with 2wd/4wd since lipos make it possible to run all three. it seems like racer just get bored with just running set classes all the time and need changes.but for me the best class is 2wd/4wd but i like truck as well its just better to adapt to.so don't get rid of the t4 your gonna regret it

Brian, All things considered, I have admit that the 2009 TRS off-road season is looking a lot better with the Slash class. Maybe a few guys will step up and we can get fill the Mod Truck and 4wd classes again.

Are you going to Motorama this year? I hear they are going to have a separate building just for electric racing.
