Racing is still on for today. Slight rain right now but is to stop here in the next 1/2 hour. Track was going to get watered anyway. We have NOT got enough rain to call off today. After this little sprinkle, chance of rain is only 30%. See everyone there.

Congrats CR.

I too, was very busy yesterday. When is their next race? I am going to hit G's, McCulloughs, and Bumps this year. I would also like to make the Drum's and the Singer's Hobbies (Wellsboro PA ) trip too. I NEED to go to these other tracks for learning and ideas.

I have heard that Doug at McCullough's is a helluva nice guy and will answer any track owner questions I may have. Heard the same thing about Chris at Bump's.

If you change your mind about lounging in the pool, we ARE racing today. I am going to steal some of Kevin's ways of running a race. His program runs very smoothly.

I'll sell you the floor mat as long as you don't use it as a plate for your pizza like Ed did

Default Race today

First off, I want to thank everyone that came out today. Fun day of racing. The 1/8 E-Scale Main finish was pretty cool. Thank you to "Professional Performance" for the T-Shirts and today's sponsorship of the race.

Congrats to the winners.

Stock SCT - Josh, first race at Altoona Raceway.
1/8 Nitro - Trevor
MOD Electric - JD
1/8 E-Scale - JD

After today's race, I have decided to make a couple changes.

1. There will be 4 mins between each heat. And 20 minutes between each round. 20 minutes will give you time to wrench, charge and prep for next round.

2. There will be an Impound table and a Staging table.

After your race, as you exit the driver's stand, your vehicle and radio will be placed on the Impound table and you must report to your marshalling spot.

The Staging table will be for the drivers in the next heat. Please bring your Starter box and all items for your run with you to the Staging table. If you run in two heats in a row, please bring both vehicles with you to the staging area prior to your first heat. Also, when you run in two heats in a row, it is your responsibility to find a replacement marshall to fullfill your spot during second heat.

Not doing your share of marshalling will result in a 1 lap penalty, on your next heat. Of course, there are some that can not physically turn marshall. Please bring it to my attention, if you are in this category. I will try my best to keep the heats planned accordingly where turn mashalling will not be understaffed.

We have never had a problem with this, BUT, Stealing will NOT be tolerated from Staging area, Impound table or Pit Areas. Best policy is this, if it isn't yours, there is no reason to touch it. ( Unless of course, you are asked by the owner )

These two changes will allow for a smoother running Race program and entire day. Your cooperation with these 2 changes is greatly appreciated.

Another quick note, if you remove the time sheet from the clipboard for your heat, please put it back when your done. We had a few sheets disappear today. Thank you
