Default This just decided

We are scheduled for a normal Club race schedule on May 1st. We will add this to the mix.

1/8 Scale Nitro Buggy A-Main winner will receive a Trophy. A-MAIN will be 45 minutes

1/8 Scale Nitro Buggy Class

2 Bump ups from (B) Class or Sportsman Class.

This will settle the "Which manufacturer is BEST" question.

AND, not to forget the Stock SCT guys. May 22nd will be your day.

Stock SCT Trophy Race

Rob, I'm going to need a lot of guys to flame out on opening day in order for that prediction to come true. But, who knows, its 1/8 scale. Which means its only about who brought the best most reliable buggy that day.

That trophy sure would look nice on my shelf though.

Three other new things for this year....for insurance purposes.

1. An honesty bar will be added to the fuel road. This will eliminate the high speed entry into the fuel area. We haven't had a problem but it will eliminate the possibility

2. There will be a Fire extinguisher in the fuel rail area, along with two buckets of water.

3. Turn marshalls will wear vests AND gloves for all nitro classes. Vests only will be allowed for the Electric stuff. I will provide the vests and gloves.

The vests will be my way, to tell who the turn marshalls for the next heat are. I will give them to the racers as they come down the ramp after their heat. Each vest will be numbered and assigned to a certain cone.

While I'm on the subject of the ramp.

Lowe's of Altoona has provided all the lumber for our handicap ramp. Their way of contributing to my vision of the Altoona Raceway being available to ALL racers. Everyone will have the same vantage point during their races.
