Default TIRES ARE EVERYTHING!

take the money you would have spent on the engine and buy some good quality tires...you will see a bigger performance gain in good tires, rather than a high power engine

Nason Benner from Richfield had a Losi 350 engine in his car last year and he had way more than enough power...he had more power and top speed than myself...

do youself a favor and get some m3 calibers, aka super soft cityblocks, or super soft crossbraces...use these as your race tires...

m2 calibers, soft cityblocks as your practice tires...

i ran m3 calibers yesterday on the track and they were real good...conditions were a little dusty on top...

just a thought...do what you want
The first thing anyone should do at any track is watch who is putting in the fast laps. Then ask that person what tires he is running. Tires are 80 plus % of a good set-up. After finding that out, go as fast as you can without crashing. More than half of all crashes are caused by having too much motor/engine! So if your laps times are held hostage by numerous crashes, de-tune things a hair.

Default OPTION PARTS

HEY MORRIS, Check out the pinion guard and the battery wire keeper. I made them both out of an old touring car wing

And yes, that is an old school trinity sticker on the wing. I found some trinity sticker sheets from the year 2000 at Kranzels.

I think CR was talking about Mcculoughs Izuk.

looks good Mike. What does it weigh?

I just felt there was no need to spend $ on good tires to smash into pipes. When I was ready, it was good

Izuk...i ran on the track the other day for a little testing before motorama...

it's amazing what a difference in tires and shock pistons can make!

Mike was coming up to toona for some running before motorama with his electric, but the weather doesn't look that good...

mccullough's having a trophy race this weekend...they had 100 plus at the last one and this one will be bigger...they have large slash and 4x4 sct turnouts lately

CR,thanks for the opinion on the tires I didnt know that was you (lovell)The last time I seen you run your Mugen you had those Caliber tires. What do you think about Proline Revolvers?I dont know if you remember Gary Foster (short pudgy guy, looks like a chubby cheech from cheech and chong...LOL).He said you helped him set up his Ofna Hyper 7 like 3 or 4 years ago anyway he said his buggy is still setup the same from when you did it..LOL thats how long its been for him.He is going to race buggy ,modtruck and slash this year.

i have never run revolvers before...

i have seen some in the pits at different tracks and the carcuss prophile seems a little flat for my liking...i like a tire when mounted to have some roundness to it(ya i know tires are round Blontz)

calibers and cityblocks are multi condition tires...they work in hardpack and dusty conditions...makes the amount of tires in the box a little less...

I also run the evo 2 foams(need to buy seperate) in proline and the stock aka foams in aka tires...i like the firmness of the tire so it make the car more consistant lap after lap...also you will see the tire last a little longer because it keeps shape better when hard on the gas
