Pipster - Chuck advised me that the Summer Classic Cash race will be 1 or two days depending on how many racers pre-register. The more we have the more likely it will be 2 days so everyone start filling out forms or at least contacting The Race Station @ [email protected] to express interest.

Matt, The XXXT, XXXTMF, or the XXXTCR all look pretty much the same to me, so just race what you got. We have one guy still running a T2 out there, and doing pretty well with it too.

Brian - There was no way I could sit back and watch other people have all the fun racing Gas Truck for very long! I hope the class takes off again.

The RAC got a great plug in the new addition of Extreme RC Cars. How do we get The Tonna Raceway in there!

I know Gary Wiant did alot of talking with one of the editors at the Rome R/C Pro-Series race. That might have had something to do with it.

Don't forget the RAC and ALL proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. I think Xtreme RC donated the half-page. Altoona would need to do something like that, otherwise you have to pay for a 1/4, 1/2 or full page ad.

Default summer classic question

I am trying to talk my dad into coming out for the summer classic and was wondering if it does become one day would it be saturday or sunday? Also how has the gas truck class been, I would rather run GT than 1/8th scale.

Brandon, The race day will be Sunday and if you cant make it Saturday they will also run 1 qualifier on Sunday.

http://www.altoonaraceway.com/TRSSummerClassic07.html

Gas truck is starting to make a comeback, we usually have 4-5 entries. If just 3-4 more guys show up for the cash, we could have up to 7-10 or more. Tire choices havent changed much, Red Reptiles or M3 Bow Ties when dry and M3 Holeshots when the track is damp.

But like everywhere else, 1/8 scale will probably have twice as many entries as Gas Truck.

I hope you can make it.

Will there be any practice sunday morning before the qualifier?
I will see what I can do but maybe I will run both 1/8th scale and GT
O don't worry I will have my trusty Reptiles with me

I saw the results from the pro race and based upon your fast lap and where you qualified, you don't need a lot of practice! I guess you must have had some bad luck in the main.

I'm looking forward to the Gas Truck event and if everybody who has one in central PA shows up we will get a strong turnout.
