Default SUMMER SERIES - UPDATED!

Guys please give the Summer Series page a look:

http://www.trshobbies.com/TRSSummerSeries07.html

We have made some changes - it looks like we're going to turn the corner on race turnouts this week.

The resurgance of 1/10 scale racing has things looking up!

We hope the new points series will be fun for everyone, of course, the thing that makes a points series great is participation!

Mod Truck and Gas Truck Starts This Week!

Thanks guys, Let's Go Racing!

Default RC8

I got to see the RC8 in person today and it looks sweet, that just might have to be the new scale that I wheel!

Sam, I didn't try the new plate I machined, but I did remove the 2mm hubs and I have to say what a difference. I had more steering and it still seemed very stable on the off-camber rutted section before the straight. I ran 27.5 with 56 drilled pistons and I liked that better than the 32.5 with 55's.

I ran O'donnell fuel today and my temps went down 25* and I had to lean it out 4 to 5 hours! Huge power increase!

CR, Although I don't know alot about the rc8, Dave's Dad told us it was just a TTR buggy that he had.So i'm not sure if it was a TTR an AE upgraded TTR or the RC8. It did look real good with the red anodized parts though.

Sam,

EZ Up Tents will be dropping me as a sponsor. If you look at my victory photo I did not get the company name and logo facing the camera. Rookie mistake!

Get-R-Goin Jim!

1/10 Scale racing has indeed made a comeback and turnout was the best in a long time.Congrads to the winners: Sam, Roeder and Greg? & Joel? Chuck was solid all day with two 2nds. After yesterdays run with his T4 and GT2 I'm sure Chuck is wondering why did he ever stop driving AE vehicles!

The 1/8 buggy main was insane. You can't imagine my surprize when they called me the leader with just 5 minutes to go. I remember Sam saying on the stand "Thats not possible" (which is excactly what I was thinking too)

Actually, Jeremy and I both thought we were racing Sam for position late in the race, only to find out after reading the results that one of his laps was missed. Which only motivated Sam to drive even better and pull it out even though the computer missed a lap.

But at the time, it was awesome. I remember thinking, so this is what it feels like to have the lead and to be part of a 3 vehicle battle (mostly nose to tail) for the win!

ED - I believe I said "that can't be right" (no offense)...maybe my transponder hicupped or something? I went over the loop every lap and didn't jump any tubes. That looks like it was my pit lap...maybe the loop doesn't count close to the announcer shed? I go pretty wide to setup for the double out of a pit stop.

I have to get my gas truck to hold together. If I can get the diff rebuilt, new engine, new tires and some captured ball ends it will be good.

I am looking for a Starter Wheel SWK9895 for a sportwerks Cyclone Starter Box. The Box has recently been discontinued and I can not find the part. I hate to just dump the box cause it is perfectly good. If anyone knows any hobby sites or shops that I could check to see if they still have some in stock please let me know. I have already checked the obvious sites, Stormer, Tower, Horizon.

Ed, yes Joel did win the Buggy Pro Level Master Sport Expert Class and I did win Arena Trcuk. If you, like many others did not stick around to watch the Arena truck class it was the most exciting win in the history of everything.
